IHPEH - International Health and Political Economy of Health We are a research group founded aiming to challenge the current neoliberal approach to health.

We are a global health research group, first created in London, UK, in 2016, and now based in Thessaloniki, Greece. We gather and host events both online and offline, to discuss ideas and current issues relating to the socio-political-economy of global health.

Great work from Milton!

Foreign Direct Investment (FDI) can undermine a national health system and harm access to health and healthcare by further commodifying health. FDI was not allowed in Brazil until 2015, a law change now allows foreign companies/investors to explore (and profit) health services in Brazil, undermining the Unified Health System (SUS).
