It was a pleasure to host students from the University of the Philippines Manila (UPM) at our campus! 🎓✨

We were delighted to welcome students from the UPM for an enriching academic visit. Through classroom observations, facility tours, and cross-cultural dialogue, our students and faculty had the wonderful opportunity to exchange insights on physiotherapy education and clinical practice. 🤝🏥

The students shared their impressions with us:
“Visiting HKMU was a meaningful and memorable experience. It strengthened my appreciation for diversity.” — Ada, incoming 3rd Year PT Student from UPM. 🌏💬
“This visit became a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to meet new people and make friends. It has given me a broader view of international PT practice.” — Vivien, incoming 4th Year PT Student from UPM. 🌟😊

It is inspiring to see that despite our different backgrounds, we share the same dedication to patient-centered care and excellence. ❤️🩺 We are proud to cultivate an environment where students bridge boundaries through international partnerships and exchange opportunities. 🌉🚀

We look forward to nurturing more connections like this in the future! 🙌✨

Interested in Sports Physiotherapy?

One unique feature of the HKMU Physiotherapy Programme is the SPEAR (Sports Physiotherapy Exposure And Rehabilitation) Programme, where interested students can gain early, real-world sports physiotherapy experience *under the supervision of faculty members who specialise in sports physiotherapy*.

Through SPEAR, students can:
- Work with HKMU sports team athletes on screening, injury rehabilitation and recovery.
- Support people with disabilities in sports like sailing, boccia, karate and archery
- Join seminars, workshops, talks and visits to sports facilities to broaden their exposure

SPEAR helps physiotherapy students apply classroom learning to real contexts, while building communication, empathy and confidence from early on in their studies.
