🎉🤖 What an incredible day at the GenAI Hackathon 2026 ！｜ 24 October🥳✨
For the first time, our hackathon was hosted on the vibrant CityU campus, bringing together talented students from 8 local universities and disciplines to turn bold ideas into AI-powered solutions. 🤖✨
This year, we received over 140 team submissions, with 40 advancing to the finals and 12 winning teams ultimately selected.

In addition, 6 teams were awarded the Tencent WorkBuddy Special Prize, recognising their outstanding use of GenAI and innovative potential. The judges faced incredibly tough decisions, as the overall quality of projects was exceptionally high.

We were thrilled to see inter-university student teams collaborating to tackle real-world challenges.
A huge thank you to our judges, mentors, organising committees, and Tencent Cloud for their invaluable support in making the event a success.
Congratulations to all finalists and winners! What we witnessed today was more than a competition. It was a glimpse into the future being built by the next generation of innovators. The best ideas don’t end here, they start here. 🚀

May all our participants continue to sail on the vessel of creativity-braving the waves, co-creating with courage, and working hand in hand to build a more sustainable future!🌅🌍
🎉🤖2026 Inter-University GenAI Hackathon for the SDGs
