🎧Pioneering Art-Tech for Mindful Moments: Student Public Showcase

Following five months of creative learning and hands-on experimentation, gifted S1–S4 students from The Hong Kong Academy for Gifted Education (HKAGE) have explored the intersection of creativity, technology, and wellbeing in partnership with HKBU SCA.

Now, across 10 collaborative team projects, they are excited to open their experimental creations to the community! Join us to immerse yourself in a series of interactive audio and sound experiences, engage directly with student installations, and celebrate the creative power of our next generation of creators!

Diving into the development phase through live hardware integration at the Jockey Club Creative Hub! 🎹🎛️

From real-time patch building in Max/MSP to synthesizing sound interfaces with capacitive touch sensors like Playtronica, participants are actively prototyping and refining their setups. It's inspiring to watch them collaborate, experiment with tactile inputs, and co-create live interactive performances.

Still spellbound by an extraordinary evening of music at the Hong Kong Cultural Centre!

It was a true privilege to witness the brilliant Colleen Lee @ breathe life into Mendelssohn’s Piano Concerto No. 1 on the historic 1849 Érard piano—perfectly channeling the dramatic energy of Berlioz's "possessed piano" legend. The performance reached new heights as she transitioned seamlessly to the poetic beauty of Beethoven’s Piano Concerto No. 4.

Bravo and huge congratulations to conductor Johnny M. P**n, Colleen Lee, and Collegium Musicum Hong Kong for an absolutely unforgettable night.

Huge congratulations to our part-time lecturer, Tsui Chin Hung , for winning Best Arranger at the prestigious Golden Melody Awards (GMA)!

Presented by Taiwan's Ministry of Culture, the GMA is recognized as the highest honor in the Chinese-speaking music industry—frequently referred to as the "Grammy Awards" of the region. Chin Hung was honored for his exceptional co-arrangement on the track "銀色荒原" alongside 裘德.

This incredible achievement highlights the caliber of talent, dedication, and industry-leading expertise our instructors bring to our students. We are incredibly proud to celebrate this milestone with him!

🎹Snippet of Perfection

Here is a sneak peek of our Artist Collaborator, Colleen Lee , breathing life into Beethoven’s Piano Concerto No. 4, Op. 58 during rehearsals on a Steinway & Sons concert grand.

But this modern masterpiece is only half the story. On 24 June, you will witness Colleen —switching from a 1849 Érard grand piano, making its historic Hong Kong debut, to this contemporary Steinway icon in one epic musical narrative.

Two distinct pianos. One unforgettable night of music with conductor Johnny P**n and the Collegium Musicum Hong Kong.
