Through the EOSA Programme, students are empowered to learn about equal opportunity issues, including the four anti-discrimination ordinances in Hong Kong (S*x Discrimination, Disability Discrimination, Family Status Discrimination, and Race Discrimination).

The EOSA Programme also offers useful resources and training to help students bring inclusive event ideas to life for the HKU community. Recent EOSA-initiated projects cover topics ranging from gender equality and mental wellness to diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI). ✨🌈

It will be a truly engaging experience for student ambassadors who are eager to learn beyond the classroom throughout the academic year and help promote the message of equal opportunity for all. 💡🤝

A safe and fruitful orientation for freshmen starts with informed student leaders and they all play a vital role in shaping a positive orientation experience.💬🌱

Over 100 student leaders joined the Anti-S*xual Harassment Interactive Workshop on 10 and 11 June, co-organised by the EOU and CEDARS.

The workshop, facilitated by 平．常．事 EO Matters , introduced the definition of sexual harassment under the S*x Discrimination Ordinance. Through interactive case studies, role plays, and discussions on bystander intervention and support channels, participants strengthened their understanding of how to prevent and respond to sexual harassment on campus.

Theme: HKU, a Boundless Campus Where Everyone Thrives

Entirely hand drawn with no AI assistance, this illustration depicts a group of diverse students jumping high above the red line which is a symbol for “limit” or “bounds”. I’d like to particularly highlight the student that required wheelchair assistance, but was able to jump higher than anybody else because of help from other students, enabling her to be released from being wheelchair-bound. In this joyous depiction of a healthy and supportive learning environment, I also included students acting extraordinary and being themselves. I adopted a style that is reminiscent of the famous Roald Dahl children’s book series (Quentin Blake), tying into good virtues and ideas of personal development.

Similarly, every student at HKU, including those with special educational needs (SEN), brings a distinct perspective and strength. The design celebrates that a barrier-free community is not about making everyone the same, but about ensuring every piece fits and is valued. When we remove discrimination and harassment, the puzzle finally becomes whole — and everyone thrives together.
