🌟 𝗘𝗻𝗴𝗶𝗻𝗲𝗲𝗿 𝗬𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗙𝘂𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗲!

From career insights and talent pathways to inspiring alumni stories, “𝗘𝗻𝗴𝗶𝗻𝗲𝗲𝗿 𝗬𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗙𝘂𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗲: 𝗖𝗮𝗿𝗲𝗲𝗿𝘀, 𝗧𝗮𝗹𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗣𝗮𝘁𝗵𝘄𝗮𝘆𝘀 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗔𝗹𝘂𝗺𝗻𝗶 𝗖𝗼𝗻𝗻𝗲𝗰𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀” brought our Engineering Master’s students together to explore the career possibilities ahead in Hong Kong and the Greater Bay Area.

Co-organised by H.K.U. Engineering Alumni Association and the MSc Student Commons & Enrichment, the seminar offered insights into graduate career trends and talent admission pathways, with sharing from CEDARS and Hong Kong Talent Engage. Students also heard first-hand from our alumni, whose diverse journeys across engineering, fintech, entrepreneurship and technology innovation offered practical perspectives on the many career possibilities ahead.

The HKU Faculty of Engineering JUPAS Entrance Scholarship is launching from the 2027 intake to recognize outstanding HKDSE students admitted to selected HKU Engineering programmes in 2027.

🌍 On September 16, 2026, we had the privilege of welcoming Professor Rui Zhang from the National University of Singapore for a keynote on "Reconfigurable MIMO for 6G".

🎤 Professor Zhang delivered a compelling presentation, sharing insights on emerging technologies such as Reconfigurable MIMO, Intelligent Reflecting Surfaces (IRS), and Movable Antennas (MA). His talk demonstrated how these innovations could revolutionise wireless networks, enabling smarter, more efficient, and resilient connectivity for the future.

🔍 The event continued with a panel discussion featuring distinguished scholars from HKU, HKUST, CUHK Shenzhen, and HK PolyU. The discussion focused on practical deployment scenarios, infrastructure needs, and challenges in transforming research into real-world wireless solutions.

👏 With a full house, the forum fostered vibrant exchanges and provided students with a valuable opportunity to engage directly with leading experts at the forefront of 6G research and innovation.

Robotics engineering is no longer confined to a single discipline. Join our upcoming webinar on 𝟐𝟎 𝐎𝐜𝐭𝐨𝐛𝐞𝐫 𝐚𝐭 𝟓:𝟎𝟎 𝐩𝐦 (𝐇𝐊𝐓) to discover the new BEng in Robotics Engineering (JS6365) — an interdisciplinary programme designed to prepare the next generation of robotics engineers with systems-level thinking, cross-disciplinary expertise and global perspectives.
