Our programs are fully registered with the Hong Kong Education and Manpower Bureau under the Non-local Higher and Professional Education (Regulation) Ordinance, carrying identical status and academic standing as the on-campus programs; and, are fully led and taught by overseas on-campus faculty members. 博士點揀？𝐏𝐫𝐨𝐟𝐞𝐬𝐬𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐚𝐥 𝐃𝐨𝐜𝐭𝐨𝐫𝐚𝐭𝐞 𝐯 𝐏𝐡𝐃 一文睇清

傳統學術博士 𝐏𝐡𝐃（𝐃𝐨𝐜𝐭𝐨𝐫 𝐨𝐟 𝐏𝐡𝐢𝐥𝐨𝐬𝐨𝐩𝐡𝐲）源自 19 世紀德國，雖然英文叫 Philosophy，但其實並唔係讀哲學。喺學術界，Philosophy 代表「知識嘅哲理與研究方法」，即係「追求知識嘅學問」。因此 PhD 可以涵蓋 Business、Education、Engineering 等不同領域。PhD 的核心係創造新知識、推動理論發展，特別適合希望喺大學從事研究、發表學術論文，或者以成為教授為職涯方向嘅人士。課程結構一般包括高階研究方法、量化／質化分析、理論框架建構，以及以純研究為主嘅博士論文。

專業博士（𝐏𝐫𝐨𝐟𝐞𝐬𝐬𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐚𝐥 𝐃𝐨𝐜𝐭𝐨𝐫𝐚𝐭𝐞）喺 1970 年代首先於美國出現，之後英國、澳洲等地迅速發展。呢類博士課程主要為有工作經驗嘅專業人士而設，重點係運用研究方法解決實際工作場景嘅問題，而唔係進行純學術研究。專業博士例如 DBA、EdD 等，更著重實務應用、領導力、策略思維同行業問題分析。課程除咗研究方法之外，仲涵蓋政策研究、組織行為、創新管理、變革管理等內容，協助學生將多年專業經驗轉化為高層次嘅應用研究成果。專業博士嘅論文通常屬於「應用研究」，以解決行業或機構面對嘅真實問題為主。

現時多個國家都承認專業博士與學術博士同屬 Level 8 博士級別，尤其英美澳嘅認受度非常高。專業博士喺商界、教育界、醫護界等領域愈來愈受歡迎，成為管理層與專業人士提升職涯影響力嘅重要途徑。常見嘅專業博士包括：

• 𝐃𝐍𝐏（護理實務博士）
近年因應 AI 與科技發展，美國亦開始推出新型專業博士 𝐃𝐓𝐞𝐜𝐡（科技博士），專注人工智能、科技應用與數碼轉型，成為最新興起嘅專業博士方向。
