🕊️ Inaugural Peace Day Symposium & Exhibition — Bridges of Peace 🕊️

In celebration of the 2026 UN International Day of Peace, HKMU LiPACE proudly presents its Inaugural Peace Day Symposium and Exhibition, scheduled for 22 September 2026 (Tuesday) at our Kwai Hing Campus. 🌏🕊️

Under the theme "Bridges of Peace: Celebrating International Peace Day through Humanitarian Legacies," the programme pays tribute to Eric Liddell and spotlights two International Cities of Peace in China, i.e., Nanjing and Weifang, as well as Uruguay's distinguished contributions to UN peacekeeping, alongside the launch of our inaugural photo exhibition.

We are honoured to welcome an exceptional line-up of speakers and guests, including Mr Federico Lage Cabeza (Consul General of Uruguay in Hong Kong); Ms Fu Wenwen (Deputy Director of the Weifang Municipal Government Culture and Tourism Bureau): Prof Liu Cheng (Holder of the UNESCO Chair on Peace Studies at Nanjing University); Ms Megan Veronesi (CEO of The Eric Liddell Community in Edinburgh); and Prof Zhang Xuexiang (Dean of the Foreign Language College and Institute of Peace Studies at Weifang University).

為響應 2026年聯合國國際和平日，本院謹訂於 2026年9月22日（星期二）假葵興校園舉辦首屆「國際和平日研討會暨展覽」。🌏🕊️

活動主題為 「和平之橋：透過人道傳承共慶國際和平日」，重點包括向李愛銳及其人道精神致敬、聚焦國家兩座國際和平城市，南京與濰坊、展現 烏拉圭在聯合國維持和平行動中的卓越貢獻，以及同場舉行和平主題圖片展揭幕。

2026.08.28 LiPACE成為「粵港澳樹藝學會」單位會員

為對接國家 「十五五規劃」，促進粵港澳三地樹藝行業規則「軟聯通」，本院很榮幸加入粵港澳樹藝學會，成為該會首個來自香港的單位會員。副院長程家偉博士、學部主管盧嘉欣女士、助理學部主管馮羨婷女士、老師林妙成博士及老師廖國興先生，代表學院出席授牌儀式，見證這項重要里程碑。

授牌儀式於仲愷農業工程學院園藝園林學院廣州白雲校區舉行，由粵港澳樹藝學會會長、前澳門民政總署管理委員會委員梁冠峰先生親臨主持。出席嘉賓包括：粵港澳樹藝學會理事長黃頌誼教授、仲愷農業工程學院園藝園林學院黨委書記邱振國先生、院長李永泉教授以及其教學團隊。

是次儀式雲集粵、港、澳三地樹藝及教育界專家，為日後深化產學合作奠定堅實基礎。

香港都會大學李嘉誠專業進修學院欣然宣佈正式成立 Community of Practice (CoP)，為同仁建立一個協作、實務且具支持性的交流平台，聚焦教學相長與學生支援。

首場啟動會議聚焦高等教育的重要議題—「人工智能在教育中的應用」。我們榮幸邀請澳洲格里菲斯大學（Griffith University）教育與專業學系 Sarojni Choy 教授擔任開幕致詞嘉賓，分享如何透過反思與協作實踐應對變革，為交流之旅揭開序幕。

會議獲得全職及兼職教學人員的熱烈響應，創始成員積極參與。此平台將貫通校內專業發展與前線教學，推動創新、分享經驗、拓展機遇，並表彰優秀成就。

我們期待透過這個充滿活力的專業社群，凝聚致力提升學生學習成效的教學團隊，共同推動優質教育發展。

HKMU LiPACE is delighted to have launched its inaugural meeting of its Community of Practice (CoP) for Academic Development on 27 August 2026, a collegial, practical and safe space for colleagues to connect, reflect and exchange ideas on teaching, learning and learner support.

The CoP bridges University-wide professional development with in-house practice, offering a platform to share innovations and challenges, deepen understanding of institutional expectations, connect colleagues with growth and recognition opportunities, and celebrate exemplary achievements.

The inaugural meeting explored a major opportunity and challenge for higher education: AI in education. We were honoured to welcome Professor Sarojni Choy from the School of Education and Professional Studies, Griffith University, whose insightful opening address on navigating change through reflective and collaborative practice set an inspiring tone for our shared journey.

We were encouraged by the enthusiastic participation of our founding members. Full-time and part-time teaching staff came together with a shared passion for enhancing student learning, laying a strong foundation for a vibrant and supportive professional community.

2026.08.28 🏆 LiPACE Takes Home the UNSDG Award for Quality Education! 🏆

The School is thrilled to announce that we have been honoured with the prestigious UNSDG Project Award under Goal 4: Quality Education! Dr. Benjamin Chan (Dean) and Ms. Crystal Chen (Programme Director) attended the Award Presentation Ceremony to accept this incredible recognition on behalf of the School.

This award celebrates the monumental legacy of our Capacity Building Mileage Programme (CBMP). As Hong Kong’s first and most enduring initiative dedicated to women’s empowerment, CBMP spent over two decades transforming lives. By providing inclusive, flexible, and community-based lifelong learning pathways, the programme successfully equipped marginalized women with practical competencies and renewed self-assurance, strengthening social capital across Hong Kong. 🌱✨

While the project itself has concluded, our commitment to "Leaving No One Behind" continues at HKMU LiPACE. We remain deeply dedicated to aligning our future strategies with the UN Sustainable Development Goals, pioneering innovative educational initiatives that drive meaningful change, ensure equitable access, and build a more inclusive society for all. 🌍🤝

學院榮獲聯合國可持續發展目標香港成就獎項目大獎（目標4: 優質教育）！院長曾德源博士及課程總監陳智嫻女士代表學院出席頒獎典禮，並接受這項殊榮。

這個獎項表彰了由學院主辦的「自在人生自學計劃」(CBMP)的深遠影響與貢獻。作為香港首個且持續時間最長、致力於推動婦女賦權的項目，CBMP 在過去二十多年來改變了無數人的生命。透過提供包容、靈活且以社區為本的終身學習途徑，該計劃成功讓基層婦女掌握實用技能並重拾自信，進一步鞏固了香港的社會資本。 🌱✨

2026.08.27 LiPACE Welcomes the Consul-General of Uruguay
Mr. Federico Lage Cabeza, Consul-General of Uruguay in Hong Kong, paid a visit to our Kwai Hing campus and was warmly welcomed by Dr. Larry Ching (Associate Director), Dr. U Kin Pong (Senior Lecturer), Ms. Heidi Cheng (Senior Lecturer), and students from our Higher Diploma in Health and Molecular Testing.

We were delighted to host CG Lage Cabeza, making this visit an exciting follow-up to the Dean's courtesy meeting at the Consul-General's office last month. During the visit, CG Lage Cabeza engaged in a fruitful discussion and interacted closely with our students. We are proud to announce that these students will have the exciting opportunity to serve as student helpers at the Consulate's booth at the upcoming BioHK 2026! 🧬✨

Following the discussion, CG Lage Cabeza was given a campus tour during which he was introduced to our vibrant, culture-themed spaces and multifunctional classrooms. We are thrilled to deepen our ties with the Consulate and look forward to this wonderful collaboration that will greatly inspire and benefit our students!

烏拉圭駐香港總領事 Federico Lage Cabeza 先生日前蒞臨葵興校園進行訪問。副院長程家偉博士、高級講師余建邦博士、高級講師鄭曉敏女士，以及本院健康及分子檢測高級文憑的學生，代表校方予以熱情接待。

此次訪問是繼上月院長前往總領事辦公室拜會後的重要延續，我們非常榮幸能邀請總領事到訪。會談期間，總領事與學生們進行了充實的交流。令人振奮的是，我們的學生將有機會在即將舉行的香港國際生物科技展2026中，於烏拉圭總領事館的展位擔任學生助理，獲取寶貴的實戰經驗！🔬

交流結束後，代表團帶領總領事參觀了校園，介紹學院多元化的文化主題空間及多功能教室。我們期待與烏拉圭駐港總領事館繼續深化合作，並期待即將到來的協作項目為學生帶來更具啟發性的學習體驗！✨

Ms Crystal Chen (Programme Director) was delighted to attend Ukrainian Culture Day 2026 at the Goethe-Institut Hong Kong. The event offered meaningful cultural exchange through a bazaar, local cuisine, and live Ukrainian music. HKMU LiPACE has a close and positive relationship with the Ukrainian Society of Hong Kong, and we will continue to deepen this collaboration to broaden our students’ international outlook and enrich their understanding of global cultures.

本院課程總監陳智嫻女士出席在香港歌德學院舉行的「烏克蘭文化日 2026」。是次活動透過藝術市集、當地美食及現場音樂表演，為參加者帶來一場豐富的文化盛宴。本院與香港烏克蘭協會一直保持良好而緊密的合作關係，未來將繼續加強協作，為學生拓闊國際視野，並豐富他們對世界多元文化的認識。

2026.08.06 🤝A New MoU and Student Exchange Agreement with Chanakya University

HKMU LiPACE is proud to announce the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) and Student Exchange Agreement with Chanakya University, a dynamic multidisciplinary institution based in Bengaluru, India. Committed to combining contemporary education and research with India’s rich knowledge traditions, Chanakya University places a strong emphasis on experiential learning, innovation, and global engagement.

This exciting partnership marks a significant step in expanding our footprint in South Asia. It opens new doors for our students by paving the way for semester exchanges, short-term study visits, and international internships. By joining forces, both institutions aim to create enriching academic and cultural experiences that nurture global perspectives and professional growth.

The agreement was proudly signed by our Dean, Dr. Benjamin Chan, and Prof. Sushant T. Joshi, Registrar of Chanakya University. To commemorate this milestone, pictured alongside Dr. Chan are Ms. Julia Hui (Programme Director) and Ms. Heidi Cheng (Senior Lecturer), while Dr. Ravikant Ranjan, Associate Director (Global Engagement) at Chanakya University, is pictured next to Prof. Joshi.

香港都會大學李嘉誠專業進修學院與位於印度班加羅爾的綜合型學府Chanakya University簽署合作備忘錄（MoU）及學生交流協議。Chanakya University致力於將現代教育及研究與印度豐富的知識傳統相結合，並高度重視體驗式學習、創新和全球參與。

這次合作標誌著我們在拓展南亞網絡方面邁出了重要一步。這將為我們的學生打開新大門，未來將推出學期交換計劃、短期學習考察及國際實習等寶貴機會。透過攜手合作，雙方期望能為學生帶來豐富的學術與文化體驗，培養他們的全球視野與專業發展。

協議由本院院長曾德源博士與Chanakya University教務長Sushant T. Joshi教授共同簽署。簽署儀式由課程總監許慧怡女士及高級講師鄭曉敏女士陪同曾院長，而Chanakya University全球事務副總監Ravikant Ranjan博士則陪同Joshi教授，共同見證此重要時刻。
