Department of Management Sciences(MS) has been renamed Decision Analytics and Operations (DAO) according to the City University of Hong Kong

Dear MS Alumni,

We are pleased to share an important update regarding our alma mater.

Effective 1 January 2025, the Department of Management Science(MS)will officially be renamed as the Department of Decision Analytics and Operations(DAO). This change reflects the department’s evolving academic focus and commitment to advancing cutting-edge research and education in decision-making, analytics, and operations management.

As proud alumni of the Management Science programme, we remain connected to the department and its continued growth. While the name has changed, the spirit of our shared academic journey and the strong alumni network we’ve built together remain the same.

We will continue to keep you updated on any future developments and opportunities to stay engaged with DAO department and fellow alumni.

Yesterday is a remarkable day! MSAA Fencing event held in Academy of Fencing (Hong Kong). This event is full of fun. Thanks alumni Master Lee teach us how to play fencing. All alumni and their family members there enjoyed a lot.

Yesterday was a remarkable day for the 8th Council of CityU MSAA! We were "strengthening ties, linking paths" by gathered nearly 100 alumni in the Luncheon held on 17 June 2023 with different cohorts reunioned with our respectful teaching staffs. Before the Luncheon, in the morning we had our big brother, Kenny Lau, the current Head of Investment Strategy at HSBC, held a fruitful sharing of his professional view on the future trend of investment markets. Alumni enjoyed a deep conversation with the host and later the reunion with many faces that we missed each other. These can't be achieved without the collective effort of MSAA, the Department of Management Sciences, guests and sponsors! Let's bear this "strengthening ties, linking paths" in mind and keep our CityU MS soul awakes!
