In March, 10 of our BBA students participated in the meaningful Hoi Nin Farn event organized by .melo , a flagship gathering that brought together students and industry leaders for genuine dialogue and growth. 🤝

This year’s event featured inspiring conversations with 𝙈𝙨. 𝘽𝙤𝙣𝙣𝙞𝙚 𝙔. 𝘾𝙝𝙖𝙣, CEO of HKEX, and 𝙈𝙨. 𝙇𝙪𝙖𝙣𝙣𝙚 𝙇𝙞𝙢, Executive Director and Chief Executive of Hang Seng Bank, who shared candid insights on leadership, careers across Asia, and the impact of AI. Bonnie’s reflection on servant leadership and Luanne’s cross-cultural journey left a lasting impression on our students. 💡

Students also had the unique opportunity to engage in face-to-face interactions with top industry leaders, including a fun and insightful charades session that bridged generational gaps, from Gen Z slang to Gen X classics. With over 10+ corporate leaders and 120+ students in the room, it was an afternoon of authentic learning, laughter, and connection. 🤩

We extend our deepest gratitude to 𝙈𝙧. 𝙆𝙚𝙫𝙞𝙣 𝙇𝙞𝙚𝙢, Chairperson of HKSI, for connecting our BBA students to this invaluable experience🙏🏻🙏🏻. His continued support opens doors for our students to learn directly from the best in the field.

【🌱 Caring for Our Shared Home: Our Earth Day 🌍 】

Have you noticed the ways we can contribute to the environment right here on campus?

Every 22nd April, the world observes Earth Day 🌍, a global movement spanning 192 countries with over 1 billion participants. Environmental protection is more than just a global topic to us, it is a fundamental and responsible way of living.

Protecting our planet doesn’t always require grand gestures. Often, it begins with the small choices we make in our daily lives:

Mindful Consumption: Opting for one less disposable utensil or bringing your own water bottle 🥤
Conserving Resources: Simply turning off the lights and AC when leaving a room 💡
Digital Learning: Utilizing digital tools to reduce paper waste, a true sign of progress 📖

Every small act of persistence adds up to a meaningful force 💪. We hope our students, while pursuing academic and professional excellence, will join us in taking that extra step for our future environment.

Moving forward, we remain dedicated to integrating the principles of sustainability into our business education.

Over 160 students from 19 Hong Kong secondary schools gathered at HKBU for the 𝑱𝒖𝒏𝒊𝒐𝒓 𝑭𝑼𝑻𝑼𝑹𝑷𝒓𝒆𝒏𝒆𝒖𝒓 𝑩𝒖𝒔𝒊𝒏𝒆𝒔𝒔 𝑺𝒊𝒎𝒖𝒍𝒂𝒕𝒊𝒐𝒏 𝑪𝒉𝒂𝒍𝒍𝒆𝒏𝒈𝒆 2026 , where they experienced the realities of entrepreneurship in a risk-free, high-energy competition. 🎓💼

The Challenge immersed students in a risk-free business environment, where they navigated market dynamics, competitive strategies, resource allocation, and unexpected decisions. Every stage tested their observation, logical thinking, and teamwork. 📊✨

More importantly, the simulation exposed them to real-world pressures, where failure became a stepping stone to improvement. The philosophy of ”learning from simulation, growing through experience“ was embedded in every decision and discussion. 🔄💡

Congratulations to all participating teams for their dedication, courage, and team spirit! 👏🎉
