Hong Kong Institute of Diabetes and Obesity, CUHK Hong Kong Institute of Diabetes and Obesity (HKIDO) is an education and research institute establish

With a mission to prevent, control, and cure of diabetes and its co-morbidities through innovation and education, HKIDO aspires to translate basic sciences and clinical research into the enhancement of human health and professional capacity. Since then, HKIDO has been providing the following six programmes at CUHK (with quotable qualification of the Medical Council of Hong Kong):

- Master of Science in Endocrinology, Diabetes and Metabolism
- Professional Diploma in General Endocrinology and Metabolism
- Basic Course in General Endocrinology and Metabolism
- Professional Diploma in Diabetes Management and Education
- Basic Course in Diabetes Management and Education
- Certificate Course in Obesity and Weight Management

The CUHK diabetes research and care team has been engaged in research on diabetes for over 20 years and has developed an affordable comprehensive assessment service for the community through its Yao Chung Kit Diabetes Assessment Centre benefiting over 21,000 people.
