Rijeka Masters in Cognitive Sciences: Cognition and the Mind

The first Rijeka Cognitive Sciences Symposium is happening on 13 and 14 July at the InnovaLab!

This year's main symposium o 14 July is focused on Social Cognition and features three invited talks. The Student Symposium on 13 July will feature talks and talks from Masters and PhD students from any discipline and research area within Cognitive Sciences.

Both days are free to attend.

Join us on 22 and 23 October for a Workshop on how to conduct Mediation Analyses in R!

The workshop will be led by Dr. Milica Miočević (McGill University, Canada) whose team works on developing best practices for evidence synthesis and statistical procedures.

The workshop goes over two days, and requires attendants to bring their laptops (with R and RStudio installed). Please sign up by emailing Dr. Petra Anić at [email protected].

This workshop is organised in collaboration with Odsjek za psihologiju Filozofskog fakulteta u Rijeci and the Psychology doctoral programme.

We are starting the new academic year with the first invited talks! Join us on 14 October for a talk by Dr. Janis Zickfeld (Aarhus University, Denmark) on large-scale collaborations.

Janis will discuss benefits and opportunities of large-scale collaborations, particularly in social sciences and relating to sample sizes, diversity, and Open Science but also (current) drawbacks and challenges such as aligning large-scale collaborations with the publishing system.

The talk is organised in collaboration with the Odsjek za psihologiju Filozofskog fakulteta u Rijeci and the Centre for mind and behaviour at the Filozofski fakultet u Rijeci
