All our participants passed their final tests and it was time to celebrate! We celebrated our new Open Water Divers and celebrated the end of another successful Diving Medicine Summer School 😁
We thank all of our participants once again for coming to DMSS and making such great memories. We wish to see you all again soon😍

Day 6 & 7
We went on a boat trip to Krk island, where we did our last dives and enjoyed the beautiful sea.
We also visited the nearby town Opatija, where we had a guided tour by Visit Opatija 😍
We ended day 6 by celebrating with traditional seafood dinner!

Day 5
The legendary Istria trip😍 We visited P**a, swam at the beach and went truffle hunting in Motovun with the company of the cutest hunting dogs! And of course, some wine tasting and a traditional Istrian dinner 🍷🥂

Day 4
We practiced BLS for injured divers and visited the barochamber at the Centre for Research in Underwater and Hyperbaric Medicine. After some rest, we partied at the National Food and Drinks Party, where we tried traditional foods and drinks from all over the world 😍🎉

Day 3
Finally we dived for the first time at KPA Adria, after learning the theory and basics of scuba diving! We also got a few visits from the media, who were very interested in our divers, and we hung out with our biggest supporter - JGL Obitelj

Day 2
After a full day of lectures, in which we learned the basics of diving and diving injuries, we went sightseeing around Rijeka and watched the sunset in the city port ☺️

Dear students and friends from all around the world,
It is our great pleasure to once again invite you to the original "Diving Medicine Summer School" in Croatia!
After several years of absence we have decided to once again activate this project that was once a pillar of student exchanges in Croatia and one of the projects upon which our student organization - CroMSIC was founded. This time the project will be held on a much higher level, following the built of the new Center for Underwater and Hyperbaric Medicine in Rijeka, Croatia.
The Summer School will be held from 2.7.-10.7.2019. and will include 12 hours of lectures held by some of the best experts in the field of hyperbaric medicine in Croatia, and a diving class after which you will be awarded an official international certificate for diving up to 18 meters. We have also organized an amazing social programme for you, including an Opening and Closing ceremony, a National Food & Drink party and many more. You will be taken to see the world famous Plitvice lakes which is a UNESCO heritage site and we will show you all the beauties of our city and its surroundings. You will also have an exclusive visit to the JGL Manufacture facility, a medical research company situated in Rijeka which has specialized in making products from the seawater of our beautiful Adriatic sea.
We are accepting only 16 students since we have focused on quality and not quantity so hurry up with your application :).
Early registration fee until 1.4. is 580€.Late registration fee 1.4.-1.5. is 630€.
Included in the fee:
Accommodation for all 8 nights.
3 meals per day.
“Open Water Diver” class (after completion you will be awarded an official international certificate for diving up to 18 meters).
Diving insurance (only for diving in case of instructor mistake).
Exclusive visit to the JGL Manufacture facility.
12 hours of lectures from experts in the field of Hyperbaric medicine.
Transportation within Rijeka (Kostrena, Opatija...)
Pick-up from Rijeka’s airport, train station or bus station.
One-day trip to Plitvice lakes (UNESCO Heritage site).
One-day diving trip to the Island of Krk.
Social Programme.
Not included in the fee:
Transportation to and from Rijeka.
Travel insurance.
2 Croatian food dinners.
