The Brijuni Islands or Brijuni archipelago are today one of the most attractive tourist destinations in Croatia. This archipelago consists of a group of islands off the western coast of Istria, which together with the surrounding waters was proclaimed a national park in 1983. The islands are only 6 km from P**a and separated from the mainland by Fažana Channel, with a regular daily boat service from the nearby Fažana port.

Dear colleagues and friends,

It is my honor and privilege to invite you to take part in the 9th Croatian Congress of Pediatric Surgery with International Participation, which will be held in P**a, Croatia from 21st to 24th of Sebtember 2022.

The Congress is following a tradition of continuity in expert and scientific aspects as well as the dynamic of organizing national meetings with international participation. High standards of both scientific and social programs have always been and still are our priorities, as well as introducing novel approaches and innovations into the Congress program as a whole.

In collaboration with our friends and colleagues we are hosting the 13th Annual European Pediatric Colorectal and Pelvic Reconstruction Congress. The meeting's concept follows the renowned tradition including a workshop followed by round table meetings which are hosted by world's most respected surgeons dealing in anorectal and pelvic surgery.

9th Congress of Pediatric Surgery with International Participation continues to accentuate interdisciplinary cooperation. Our standard scientific program in pediatric surgery shall be enriched by integrating topics from pediatrics, anaesthesiology, radiology and other closely related medical fields that intertwine and complement each other.

State-of-the-art topics presented and chaired by noted international lecturers are a continuation of a well-established tradition and represent the crown of the scientific program.

Social program shall, yet again, be emphasized as one of central events et the meeting, owing to the fact that we percept it as an important element of such meetings that allows colleagues to bond, as on a professional, so ona an informal level. Furthermore, it allows participants to get acquainted with the region in which the meeting is being held.
