[DAY 5] 💙 And just like that, D-HEAL 2026 came to an end.

Our closing ceremony was a moment to look back at a week filled with learning, new experiences, shared ideas, laughter and friendships that crossed borders.

What started with participants arriving from five different countries ended with one D-HEAL team. 🇭🇷 🇪🇪 🇵🇱 🇵🇹 🇹🇷

Thank you to every student, lecturer, partner and member of the organising team who brought their energy, curiosity and personality to this week. You made D-HEAL what it was.

The programme may be over, but we hope the connections are only beginning. 💙

[DAY 5] 💙 Our final D-HEAL day brought us back to the digital world — this time not just to talk about it, but to build. In a hands-on workshop, participants explored how AI can be used to create digital health tools, turning ideas into something tangible.

[DAY 4] 🌿 A different kind of classroom.

Day 4 took D-HEAL to Plitvice Lakes National Park — but our visit began with a look behind the scenes.

Before exploring the park, we learned how healthcare services are organised in one of Croatia’s most visited destinations and visited the park’s monitoring and operations centre, gaining insight into how safety, coordination and rapid response are managed across such a large and unique environment.

And then it was time to experience Plitvice itself — a day of walking, conversations, incredible scenery and shared moments away from the lecture hall. 💙

[DAY 4] 🌿 A different kind of classroom.

[DAY 3] 🥽 Day 3 took us from the critical first moments of emergency care to the possibilities of virtual reality.

We explored how telemedicine and advanced caller location are changing emergency medical dispatch, discussed what it really takes to prepare patients to use eHealth, and finished the morning by stepping into virtual reality ourselves.

From evidence and real-world practice to putting on a headset and experiencing digital healthcare first-hand — another morning of learning, questioning and trying something new together. 💙

[DAY 2] 🚡 After a busy morning at Ksaver, we swapped the classroom for the cable car and headed up to Sljeme. A bit of fresh air, great views over Zagreb, lots of conversations, laughs and, most importantly, time simply spent together. 💙

Sometimes the best part of an Erasmus experience happens between the scheduled activities.

[DAY 2] 💻 We started the morning by looking at how digital transformation is reshaping specialist nursing, then explored the role of mHealth applications in chronic disease management and health promotion.

The final part of the morning brought everyone into action, with a hands-on workshop exploring digital tools for patient education and supporting healthy lifestyle change.

Three sessions, three different perspectives from Croatia, Türkiye and Estonia — and plenty of ideas exchanged along the way. 💙
