[Održano gostujuće predavanje- Maja Šercer]
U okviru nastave na kolegiju Menadžment hotela na Ekonomskom fakultetu održano je gostujuće predavanje gospođe Maje Šercer, direktorice upravljanja prihodima, Bellyard Hotel, Atlanta, SAD.
Tijekom predavanja studenti su imali prilike upoznati se s brojnim primjerima iz prakse, dobiti informacije o specifičnostima i važnosti upravljanja prihodima u hotelijerstvu, kao i o različitim varijablama i okolnostima koji utječu na proces njihova upravljanja. Također, tijekom predavanja studenti su rješavali brojne zadatke temeljene na primjerima iz poslovnog svijeta u okviru kojih su testirali vlastito znanje o upravljanju prihodima u hotelijerstvu.
Na temelju vlastitog životnog i profesionalnog iskustva gospođa Šercer ohrabrila je studente u njihovim budućim nastojanjima pronalaska radnog mjesta u hotelijerstvu, naglašavajući važnost stjecanja iskustva na svim razinama upravljanja, počevši od najjednostavnijih zadataka na temelju kojih se nadograđuju znanja i vještine.
Zahvaljujemo gošći predavačici na zanimljivom izlaganju te se veselimo budućim oblicima suradnje na temelju kojih će studenti imati priliku dobiti uvid u poslovnu praksu u području hotelijerstva.

As part of the Hotel Management course at the Faculty of Economics, a guest lecture was delivered by Ms Maja Šercer, Director of Revenue Management at the Bellyard Hotel, Atlanta, USA.
During the lecture, students had the opportunity to learn from numerous practical examples and obtain information about the specifics and importance of revenue management in the hotel industry, as well as the various variables and circumstances that affect its management. Students also solved tasks based on real business examples, testing their knowledge of revenue management in the hotel industry.
Drawing on her own life and professional experience, Ms Šercer encouraged students in their future efforts to find employment in the hotel industry, emphasising the importance of gaining experience at all levels of management, starting with the simplest tasks, which form the foundation for building knowledge and skills.
We thank the guest lecturer for her engaging presentation and look forward to future cooperation, through which students will have the opportunity to gain insight into business practice in the hotel industry.
