💧 Exploring Water Resources: Hands-On Learning in Action! 🔬 📊

As part of the module "Use and conservation of water resources", our students delved into practical analysis, under the supervision of Jelena Horvatinec MSc. They analysed water samples from the 5th lake and the Bliznec stream within Maksimir Park, right in the accredited laboratory of the Department of Soil Amelioration “MELILAB“ of the Faculty of Agriculture, University of Zagreb (Sveučilište u Zagrebu Agronomski fakultet). Using advanced laboratory techniques, they analyzed water quality parameters and then translated these findings into statistical analyses using software tools, gaining invaluable insights along the way.

Additionallly, Carlos Manterola-Barroso, MSc and PhD student from the Universidad de la Frontera, Temuco Chile– Scientific and Technological Bioresources Nucleus (BIOREN-UFRO) and Department of Agricultural Production (Facultad de Ciencias Agropecuarias y Medioambiente UFRO) participated in 4-th excercise and shared his expertise in valorization of agroindustrial by-products from the Chilean nut industry, enriching the students' learning experience.
At our institution, we're dedicated to providing hands-on opportunities that empower students to tackle real-world challenges in water resource management with confidence and expertise. 💡👨‍🔬
