Just had an incredible experience exploring the Hungarian Parliament with the PaIR Club!🏛️

We learned so much about the architecture and history of both the building and Hungary as a whole. The grandeur of the Parliament building is truly something to behold, and the stories behind it are equally fascinating.
It was such an enriching experience to delve into the rich history of this beautiful country.

Can't wait for our next adventure! 😍

Check out these snapshots from the Budapest Balkans Forum event that some of our PaIR Club members attended last Friday! 📸

It was a captivating panel discussion that explored a variety of topics related to the Balkan region, including the current political and economic situation, regional disputes, energy and economic challenges, the EU enlargement policy, Balkan implications of the Russia-Ukraine war and the overview of Western-Balkans relations.

The speakers were all experts in their respective fields and provided insightful perspectives on the challenges and opportunities facing the Balkans today. We were thrilled to be a part of such a thought-provoking conversation! 🌍

Thank you to the organizers of the Budapest Balkans Forum for hosting such a valuable event. We look forward to attending more events like this in the future.

We saw many new faces and the students asked great questions from the speakers ranging from international security to the outlook on multilateral international relations🎤🙌

The PaIR Club finished the semester with an amazing guest speaker event about US Foreign Politics😍🇺🇸

We discussed various internal and international affairs related to the States and held an open discussion with the audience, giving space for questions of the students.🗣️

It was a pleasure to welcome Christopher Hallett Political and Economic Officer from the US Embassy, among other experts such as Tamas Magyarics, Gabor Csizmazia, Aron Tabor and Dr. Katalin Farkas Bede.👥🎤

🇺🇳 UN DAY 2022 🇺🇳

On October 24th, 2022, IBS PaIR club was invited to attend and celebrate the 77th Anniversary of the United Nations.

The event was hosted by the UN Association Hungary in collaboration with the Hungarian Academy of Sciences and the University of Public Service.

The ceremony was opened and chaired by the Ambassador Katalin Bogyay, the President of the UN Association Hungary. During the speech, the Ambassador has reaffirmed the faith in the ideals of building peace, social cohesion, advancing human rights and resolving global issues through dialogue.

IBS PaIR club had a prominent opportunity to meet and greet the special guests from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Hungary, Members of the UN Association Hungary and other officials representatives.

Our club expresses its high gratitude for inviting us to the event and taking the part in the panel discussions concerning today’s global agenda. The club reaffirms its willingness to value the core principles of the United Nations’ Charter and celebrate humanity, solidarity and multilateralism, which are now more relevant than ever.
