🚀 Május a pályaorientációról és a közösségről szólt a Tanítsunk MagyarországértProgramban

A hónap során mentoráltjainkkal olyan alkalmakon vettünk részt, amelyek közelebb hozták számukra a továbbtanulás és a pályaválasztás kérdését. 📚

🏫 Gyálon az Érdi SZC Eötvös József Technikumba látogattunk, ahol a diákok megismerhették az iskola képzéseit, a felvételi lehetőségeket és az ott elérhető programokat. Különösen nagy érdeklődés kísérte az Erasmus+ lehetőségeket, a vezetett iskolabejárás pedig még kézzelfoghatóbbá t***e számukra a továbbtanulás világát.

👮 Üllőn a helyi rendőrség érkezett az iskolába mentoraink meghívására. A gyerekek nemcsak a rendőri hivatásról hallhattak, hanem szó esett az internet veszélyeiről, a KRESZ-ről, valamint arról is, milyen felelősséggel és kihívásokkal jár ez a pálya. A rendőrautó, a sziréna és a felszerelések természetesen nagy sikert arattak. 🚔

🤝 A május azonban nemcsak a mentoráltakról szólt, hanem a közösségünkről is. A félévzárás hagyományos alkalma idén is lehetőséget adott arra, hogy mentorok és mentorjelöltek találkozzanak egymással. Ezek a pillanatok mindig különösen fontosak, mert jól mutatják, hogy a program messze túlmutat az egyes foglalkozásokon: egy olyan diák-közösség épül körülötte, amelyben tapasztalat, felelősségvállalás és személyes kapcsolódás adódik tovább.

🌿 International Day for Biological Diversity 22 May 2026!

Biodiversity loss is not only an environmental challenge. It is also a financial, economic, and policy challenge.
At the Sustainable Finance Research Centre, we are committed to raising awareness about biodiversity finance and the funding mechanisms that can help direct capital towards nature-positive outcomes.
To mark International Day for Biological Diversity, our team has prepared a four-part video series introducing key sustainable finance funding mechanisms:
🌱 Blended Finance — using public, private, and concessional capital to support projects that may otherwise struggle to attract investment.
🌱 Natural Capital Financing Facility — showing how finance can support projects that protect, restore, or enhance natural capital.
🌱 Payments for Ecosystem Services — recognizing the value of the benefits nature provides, from clean water and pollination to climate resilience.
🌱 Biodiversity Offsets — compensating for residual biodiversity impacts when avoidance and mitigation are not enough.
Through these videos, we aim to make biodiversity finance more accessible and support wider understanding of the tools that can help fund nature protection and restoration.

🇦🇹 DSG students recently travelled to for a three-day international study trip focused on , innovation and business.

What does it mean to be a mother in today’s world?

A recent Newsweek article featured researcher Dr Ivett Szalma, whose work explores changing ideas around family, caregiving and “pet parenting”.

Our university has published a public outlining a long-term . The proposal aims to foster a on a model that simultaneously ensures academic autonomy, international competitiveness, and financial stability.

What does this mean for our community?
🔹 : All academic matters would fall exclusively under the jurisdiction of the Senate, backed by legal guarantees.

🔹 : Exclusive decision-making power on academic issues.

🔹 : A smaller, expert-led 5-member University Supervisory Board to replace the current board structure. This balanced body would consist of:
- The Rector of the university.
- An international academic leader or renowned scientist.
- Three prominent leaders from the business and social sectors.

🔹 : Ensuring our operations match the norms of the best European universities.

The dialogue is already well underway. We are proud that more than 250 colleagues have already participated in the consultation process through both online and offline channels.
The leadership is with the and , , , the , the , employee representative bodies, and the representatives of the Student and PhD Councils ( and ).
We are holding forums for staff and students ( ) over the coming weeks to ensure that the perspectives of our most important stakeholders are included in this transition.
