The Faculty of Law at the University of Pécs (PTE ÁJK) has launched the very first "International EU Law Horizons Conference"! This grand-scale scientific event aims to become a key annual professional forum in the region.

Throughout the two-day program, domestic and international experts are discussing some of the most pressing legal challenges of our time:

✈️ Important Flight Update from Pécs ✈️

Since launching in March, it’s been fantastic to see Pécs reconnected with the world. Thank you for your trust!

Due to external economic factors and rising fuel prices affecting our German partner (Skyhub PAD), flights from Pécs will be temporarily suspended from 10 June.

Here is what you need to know:

📅 Normal operations until 10 June: Flights will run as scheduled for the next two weeks. Current bookings are secure.

🛑 Temporary pause: Flight operations will be suspended from 10 June.

💰 Full refunds: If you have a booking after 10 June, you will receive a full refund in accordance with regulations.

This is not the end, but a new chapter!
We are already in intensive talks with our Danish operator (DAT) and Lufthansa to secure a stable, long-term future. Plans are underway to move our logistics hub to Lübeck, bringing a more secure service and better timetables.

Kedves Utasaink! A járatok márciusi indulása óta fantasztikus volt látni, hogy Pécs újra összekapcsolódott a világgal. Köszönjük a belénk fektetett bizalmat! 😊

A járatok hátterét koordináló német partnerünk (Skyhub PAD) a globális gazdasági hatások és a megemelkedett kerozinárak miatt kénytelen átalakítani működését. Ez a tőlünk független, külső piaci változás a pécsi járatokat is érinti: június 10-től a légi közlekedés átmenetileg szünetel.

A legfontosabb tudnivalók:
👉 Június 10-ig minden a megszokott rendben működik. A következő két hétben a járatok zavartalanul közlekednek, így a közeljövőre tervezett utazások biztonságban vannak.
👉 Ideiglenes szünet: Június 10-től a járatok üzemeltetése átmenetileg szünetel.
👉 A június 10. utáni időszakra szóló foglalások esetén a légitársaság a jogszabályoknak megfelelően, maradéktalanul visszatéríti a jegyek árát.

Ez nem a végállomás, hanem egy új fejezet! 💪
A háttérben máris megkezdődtek az intenzív egyeztetések. A dán üzemeltetővel (DAT) és a Lufthansaval közösen, gőzerővel dolgozunk a hosszú távú és stabil folytatáson. Az előzetes tervek szerint a járatok logisztikai központja Lübeckbe kerülhet át, ami a jövőben egy biztosabb hátteret és kedvezőbb menetrendet hozhat el utasainknak.

Pécs megmutatta, hogy van igény a repülésre, és a város készen áll a nemzetközi szintű légi közlekedésre. Köszönjük az eddigi bizalmat és a türelmeteket! Amint hivatalos részletekkel rendelkezünk a folytatásról, azonnal jelentkezünk.

🔥 Outstanding Successes from Pécs at the MATE Cross Run MEFOB! 🔥

On May 1️⃣7️⃣, the MATE Cross Run MEFOB obstacle course race was held at the MATE Kaposvár Campus, where students of the University of Pécs represented our institution with fantastic results.

Thanks to the excellent performances of our competitors, PTE athletes earned one gold, two silver, and two bronze medals in the individual categories. 🥇🥈🥉

The students from Pécs also celebrated success in the team competitions at the end of the day: PTE Team 1 won the gold medal, while PTE Team 2 finished in an impressive second place, earning the silver medal.

Congratulations to the team! 👏

⚠️ Due to the race, traffic restrictions and road closures are expected at several locations on Saturday. We kindly ask everyone to leave early and, if possible, approach the city center on foot or by bicycle.

Bence Iván now has four European Championship qualifying times to his name, while Paralympic swimmer Zsófia Konkoly has secured another world number one spot in the 200m individual medley, as well as reaching the European qualifying standard in several other events. 🏊‍♂️🏆

A paraúszó világkupa berlini állomásán Konkoly Zsófia és Iván Bence is remekül teljesített.

👏 Iván Bence már négy Európa-bajnoki szintidővel rendelkezik, ezzel túlteljesítette az előzetes célkitűzéseket.

🥇 Konkoly Zsófia pedig újabb világranglista-elsőséget szerzett 200 méter vegyesen, emellett több számban is kiválóan szerepelt, és több EB-szintidőt is úszott, többek között 100 méter mellen is.
