MASOST (Material and Solution Structure Research Group) is a project based research group, which builds upon the complimentary expertise of senior researchers from various Departments within the Chemistry Division of the Faculty of Sciences, University of Szeged, Hungary. Layered double hydroxides – synthesis, modification, structural characterization, intercalation, applications in various cataly
tic processes;
2. Highly concentrated aqueous electrolyte solutions of industrial relevance, in particular strongly alkaline solutions – thermodynamic characterization and structural aspects of the complex compounds present in such systems;
3. Solid crystalline or microcrystalline compounds (e.g., layered double hydroxides, solid complex salts, etc.) obtained from highly concentrated aqueous electrolytes - characterization of local and nanostructure;
4. Biomimetic transition metal complexes – preparation, immobilization, structural characterization and optimization of catalytic activity;
5. Systems self-assembling on molecular level. For more information visit http://www2.sci.u-szeged.hu/masost/
