As we have had a huge gap of posting, we would like to congratulate belated also to our students who finished their mechanical engineering BSc at the beginning of this year in winter, in January 2025!🎊🎊🎊

⚙👍Nemzetközi hallgatóink sikeres záróvizsgát tettek a Savaria Műszaki Intézetben! Our international students successfully passed their final exams at the
Savaria Institute of Technology!

Közölük 6 fő Stipendium Hungarikum ösztöndíjas, egy fő pedig az "Ösztöndíjprogram Keresztény Fiataloknak" program keretein belül tanult Magyarországon.

Az Ösztöndíjprogram Keresztény Fiataloknak Magyarország Kormánya által, az üldözött keresztény vallási kisebbségek iránti szolidaritás politikája jegyében alapított ösztöndíjprogram. Az Ösztöndíjprogram célja, hogy olyan, a világ válságrégióiban élő keresztény fiatalok számára biztosítson lehetőséget felsőfokú tanulmányok folytatására magyarországi képzési helyeken, akik hazájukban vallási üldöztetésnek, fenyegetésnek vannak kitéve vagy a szabad vallásgyakorlásban korlátozást szenvednek el. Fontos hozzáadott értéke az Ösztöndíjprogramnak, hogy a fiatalok a tanulmányi évek után hazatérnek hazájukba, hogy tudásukkal közösségeiket, országukat segítsék.

Among them, 6 were Stipendium Hungaricum scholarship students, and one studied in Hungary under the "Scholarship Programme for Christian Young People."

Scholarship Programme for Christian Young People is a scholarship programme established by the Government of Hungary in the spirit of the policy of solidarity towards persecuted Christian religious minorities. The aim of the Scholarship Programme is to enable Christian young people from crisis regions of the world who are subject to religious persecution, threats, or restrictions on the free exercise of religion in their home countries to pursue higher education in Hungary. An important added value of the scholarship programme is that young people return home after their years of study to contribute to their communities and country.

MSc Mechanical Engineers already! 🎊🎉👨‍🎓👩‍🎓
Our first MSc mechanical engineering program in English language, sarting in the autumn semester of the academic year 2022/2023 has given the first generation of international MSc mechanical engineers in the Savaria Institute of Technology ELTE Faculty of Informatics!

6 students have started the program, and all of them have successfully passed their final state exam successfully! We congratulate them and we wish them success on their further professional journey!

Day of Hungarian Poetry

11 April is the Day of Hungarian Poetry. József Attila, the famous Hungarian poet, was born on this day in 1905, and it has been the Day of Hungarian Poetry since 1965.

The students of the Savaria University Center participating in English language programs of computer science and mechanical engineering prepared a little surprise for this occasion. All of them complete the Hungarian language and culture course in the first 2 semesters, which helps them to get by more easily in everyday life during their stay in Hungary.

On March 20, 2024, our mechanical engineering BSc students (Karoling Perez – Peru, Nazrin Budagova – Azerbaijan, Kavindu Dissanayaka – Sri Lanka, Han Shin Thant - Myanmar, Tuguldur Oyuntulkhuur - Mongolia) were invited to Olad Primary School, where foreign language days were held.

5 students took part in this event, where they introduced their country, their food, their traditions, their history, and their local clothes to the children studying in English. After the presentations, the children could ask the students questions in English, and they could spend a pleasant, interesting afternoon together.

🏆SEK Obstacle course racing

Waseem Fanous, our student on BSc mechanical engineering participated and took the 3rd place! We congratulate to him and to all other participants to their achievment!

SEK RACE OBSTACLE COMPETITION

The Sek Race- similar to the Spartan race conditions- was held on March 6. In addition to running, the participants had to complete a number of timed obstacles, including carrying weights in the hall, climbing a rope, hiding under a net, throwing a javelin in the yard, rolling tractor tires, and had to get past the rings in the running corridor, as well as the climbing wall and the peck board.

Results:
1st place: Andris Bauer (13'19")
2nd place: Zalán Horváth (14'53")
3rd place: Wasseem Fanous (15'53")

Senior category:
1st place: István Kívés (21'08")
2nd place: Zoltán Sallai (21'26")
