On Monday, July 21, 2026, Universitas Mercu Buana welcomed Mr. Rohit Kalsy, Head of Asia at Coursera, and Mr. Davin Pranoto, Account Director of Coursera, for a strategic discussion aimed at strengthening the partnership between the two institutions.

The meeting was attended by Prof. Ir. Andi Adriansyah, M.Eng., Rector of Universitas Mercu Buana, along with the vice rectors, the Cooperation Bureau and the Institution Development Center (PPI). The discussion focused on extending access to Coursera certification programs for the entire Universitas Mercu Buana academic community, including students, lecturers, and educational staff.

On Wednesday, July 1st, 2026, the Faculty of Design and Creative Arts at Universitas Mercu Buana held a ceremonial signing of a Cooperation Agreement with Gramedia Academy to support the implementation of the Three Pillars of Higher Education (Tridharma Perguruan Tinggi). The agreement was signed by Dr. Agus Budi Setyawan, S.Ds., M.Sn., Dean of the Faculty of Design and Creative Arts at Universitas Mercu Buana, and Jerry Anthonio F. Udampo, General Manager of the Gramedia Education Division at Gramedia Academy.

During the ceremony, both parties expressed their commitment to strengthening collaboration through various initiatives aimed at enhancing students’ competencies and expanding partnerships with industry. We stand in solidarity with the people of Timor-Leste during this period of immense grief. May his soul rest in eternal peace, and may his legacy continue to inspire strength and unity.

Empowering our academic community through world-class partnerships! 🌍🎓

on June 24th, 2026, Universitas Mercu Buana successfully hosted an official discussion with the Communication University of Zhejiang (CUZ) to unlock new opportunities in international higher education.

We were honored to welcome a distinguished delegation from CUZ led by Ms. Jiang Wen as a Vice President, accompanied by key representatives including Dean, School of International Education and Vice Dean, School of Television and Audio Visual Art, along with other leadership members from their campus construction, international, and IT departments.

With active participation from our Cooperation Bureau, the Faculty of Creative Design and Arts (FDSK), and the Faculty of Communication Sciences (FIKOM), the session became a powerful platform to align our academic visions.

We are thrilled to announce that we are laying the groundwork for a variety of collaborative initiatives. From initiating joint academic programs and double degrees to designing academic exchanges, joint research, and scholarship opportunities, we are bringing the world closer to UMB. ✨

Universitas Mercu Buana welcomed a delegation from Zhejiang Business and Technology Institute (ZBTI) for a Collaboration Discussion held on Monday, 22 June 2026, at Universitas Mercu Buana. The meeting was attended by Dr. Liu Hao, Silk Road College Executive Vice Dean and Head of the Communication & Planning Department of ZBTI, along with representatives from UMB’s Faculty of Engineering and Faculty of Computer Science, including Dr. Zulfa Fitri Ikatrinasari, M.T., Dr. Bambang Jokonowo, S.Si., M.TI., and heads of study programs. The discussion aimed to strengthen and expand the existing academic partnership between the two institutions through various strategic initiatives involving students, faculty members, and industry partners.

During the meeting, both institutions explored a wide range of collaboration opportunities, including live streaming and knowledge-sharing programs, student exchange initiatives, short-term academic and cultural programs, faculty mobility, postgraduate study opportunities, as well as international research and community service collaborations. In addition, potential cooperation in the fields of Engineering and Computer Science, particularly through industry-oriented education models and short-course programs, was also discussed. Through this meeting, Universitas Mercu Buana and Zhejiang Business and Technology Institute reaffirmed their shared commitment to fostering international academic cooperation, innovation, and global learning experiences for their academic communities.
