On Monday, April 27, 2026, Universitas Mercu Buana conducted a visit and partnership discussion with KAI Logistik as a strategic step to strengthen collaboration in continuing education and the implementation of the TriDharma of Higher Education.

During the meeting, Universitas Mercu Buana introduced flexible learning programs for employees, including employee classes, blended learning, online learning, and Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL), as well as opportunities for scholarships and tuition fee reductions.

In addition, both parties discussed potential collaboration in student internship programs, practitioner involvement as speakers for seminars and workshops, and the preparation of a cooperation agreement as the foundation for sustainable future collaboration.

On Monday, April 27, 2026, Universitas Mercu Buana held an audience with the Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) Forum at the West Jakarta Mayor’s Office to discuss collaborative support for regional priority programs. The discussion focused on strategic initiatives such as sanitation improvements in Tomang, the revitalization of the Tambora convection industry, flood mitigation, and community-based social strengthening through brawling prevention and family resilience. The meeting also emphasized the role of the CSR Forum in ensuring targeted and impactful program coordination, while introducing the upcoming establishment of the West Jakarta CSR Forum and the Padmamitra Award to honor corporate contributions to social welfare. This synergy aims to bridge academic expertise with regional development to foster a more sustainable and resilient community in West Jakarta.

On Monday, April 27, 2026, Universitas Mercu Buana attended a ceremonial signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Film Censorship Board of the Republic of Indonesia (LSF RI) regarding the implementation of the Tridharma of Higher Education. The agreement was signed by Prof. Dr. Ir. Andi Adriansyah, M.Eng., Rector of Universitas Mercu Buana and Dr. Naswardi, M.M., M.E., Chairman of LSF RI followed by an in-depth partnership discussion.

The collaboration focuses on strengthening the Tridharma through the integration of film literacy and self-censorship including curriculum enrichment for the faculty Communication Science, Faculty of Design and Creatvie Arts, Public Relation of UMB and Mercu TV by involving practitioners as guest lecturers, the utilization of LSF data for faculty and student research, and community service through public education. Furthermore, LSF has opened internship opportunities for students. The discussion also highlighted the legal requirements for film screenings on campus, broadcasting ethics, and the "Age-Appropriate Censorship" principle. Moving forward, both parties are committed to enhancing film literacy and bridging the gap between academia and the film industry.
