Kindly be reminded that tomorrow is the D-Day for the Inter school competition:)

Attached are the rundown and rubric for your perusal.

Pls be reminded of the followings:

1. The number of straws, the distance to be covered by the bridge (gap between tables) will be announced on the Day as part of the challenges.

2. Keep practicing with your students with 100 straws and above, covering a distance between 30 – 50 cm.

3. Please keep in mind that masking tape and glue can ONLY BE USED IN JOINTS/ TO MAKE JOINTS. IT CANNOT BE USED TO REINFORCE A GROUP OF STRAWS.

4. To simulate the load of the cars, the bridge must have a place to securely hold a small cup in the center of the span.

5. Students are also expected to explain the type of bridge and simple engineering principles behind the design of their bridge. Please see rubric. (will be shared during the technical meeting)

6. The bridge will be tested for its strength using a hanging bucket method. Please refer to the link below.
