Center of Gender Studies Airlangga University is a professional association consisting of Centers for Gender, Women, and Child Studies within Higher Education Institution. Center of Gender Studies Airlangga University is to create a society that upholds gender equality and justice as well as child protection. Meanwhile our missions are:
1) to develop knowledge, studies, advocacy, and scientific p
ublications on gender, women and child issues;
2) improving the capacity and quality of the members;
3) encouraging the existence of public policies that guarantee the fulfillment of the rights of women and children as vulnerable social groups in all aspects of life
The aim of Center of Gender Studies Airlangga University are:
1) to strengthen partnership networks in studies, programs and policies for Gender Mainstreaming and Protection of Children's Rights at the Local, National, and International Levels;
2) Improving education with a critical perspective and not gender biased for women, children, families, and communities;
3) Providing strategic studies and data on issues of gender, women, children and vulnerable groups;
4) Conducting advocacy and community services for women, children, families, and communities. The study center's programs are:
1) conducting formal, non-formal and informal education and training;
2) conducting research that is oriented towards increasing knowledge, the needs of users in the academic environment, policy makers, and practitioners in various fields;
3) Community Service that is oriented towards community empowerment to achieve gender equality and justice, as well as child protection;
4) Publications and community service in an effort to develop, accumulate, strengthen, and enrich the knowledge of women and children towards gender equality and child protection.
