ULS has been an adviser to the EU DG Education and Culture in the Adaptability Strand of the Equal Program (Paris 2005). ULS has written policy and conducted research for the FAS on community employment and labor market outcomes for marginalized groups. r Expac (Monaghan) and its Conflicts of Interest program, funded by the Peace III initiative. ULS has been centrally involved in the design, development and delivery of a range of equality and diversity training initiatives throughout the island of Ireland as well as in the European Union and United States. ULS is currently involved in transnational initiatives with a specific focus on innovative inclusion for schools engaged with marginalized and excluded groups in Greece, Spain and Finland. ULS has a strong focus on all nine grounds covered in Irish equality legislation. It has recently concluded a significant project on mentoring funded by the EU Grundtvig Programme (Sink or Swim). ULS works directly with employers, communities and centers of learning throughout Europe and the United States in structured consultancy and strategic planning interventions. It has a strong focus on social research and the development of work based learning.
