Have you received a CAO offer through HEAR, DARE, QQI or Mature student routes? If so, we are VERY excited to invite you to our Access Welcome: Landing in UCC event!

This is a social event for you to get to know your peers, to get to know your support team and to have plenty fun along the way! You'll engage with both social and informative sessions on the day, be well fed with some light snacks and a full lunch, and have the chance to enjoy some great music from our very special guest Stevie Grainger!

DARE and HEAR results are out tomorrow, 23 June after 2pm! 📅
You'll get an email from CAO with your result. Log into your CAO account to
see your next steps.
If you're not eligible, you can request a review. The review and appeals form
opens on 23 June after 2pm. You'll have until 2 July at 5pm to submit your
form and all supporting documents to CAO. That's a short window so it's
worth being prepared.

form.

Today marks Global Accessibility Awareness Day, and while we work each day towards inclusive universal design, there is still much work ahead of us to ensure true inclusivity. On 23rd April 2026, Access UCC proudly hosted the Traveller Living History Exhibition at University College Cork as part of the 21st Cork Lifelong Learning Festival, a city-wide celebration of lifelong learning featuring over 400 free events throughout festival week.

This event brought together Traveller organisations, students, staff, and the wider community to celebrate Traveller culture, heritage, and identity, while highlighting the importance of inclusion, belonging, and raising awareness of Traveller experiences.

We were especially delighted to welcome primary and secondary school students to campus, including many from the Traveller community, supporting early engagement and helping to build a stronger sense of belonging in higher education.

This video captures highlights from the day and reflects UCC’s ongoing commitment to widening participation and creating welcoming spaces for all learners.
