MATERIALITY AND SOUND features speakers who will discuss the role of sound in art practice, bringing sculptors who reference or integrate sound and/or collaborate with musicians, or who orchestrate humble materials into soundscapes, or who embed sound digitally into material. This is our twelfth MAKE Symposium and it is wonderful this year to partner with our MTU Cork School of Music!

Friday 27th February will mark a significant milestone celebrating MTU as an Arts Rich Technological University with a vibrant afternoon of performances, screenings and speeches at the MTU Cork School of Music, Union Quay, Cork.

Hosted by Professor Maggie Cusack, President of MTU, and Mr Ger O’Mahoney, Chair of the MTU Governing Body, this event will bring together students, staff, partners, collaborators, alumni and invited guests to honour the University’s exceptional creative legacy and highlight the breadth of arts practice, research and cultural engagement across MTU.
