UCC RSA

UCC RSA Representing researchers throughout UCC We are continually seeking motivated researchers who wish to take on an active role in the association.

The UCC Research Staff Association (UCCRSA) is a voluntary organisation that represents contract research staff across all disciplines both within UCC and nationally. Prior to our inception in 2006, we did not have a forum whereby issues that affected researchers employed by UCC could be addressed. This year we have focused our efforts on organising information seminars on topics of direct importa

nce to researchers (redundancy, CIDs, Researcher Career Framework, funding etc. [for more see www.ucc.ie/en/rsa/seminars/]). We have also successfully lobbied for more researcher representation on university committees with two researcher representatives being nominated to the academic council. Our main aims are:
- To support new and current researchers in UCC by providing a forum to air their concerns/problems
- To engage in dialogue with the university over future decisions affecting researchers
- To lobby for improved researcher representation on university committees
- To establish links with researchers in other universities (through the Irish Research Staff Association)
- To provide information on rights and entitlements
- To organize social events and promote networking between researchers within UCC

If you would like to participate in future UCCRSA events or assist with our initiatives, please get in touch through e-mail or Facebook.
