Achill Archaeological Field School

Achill Archaeological Field School Established in 1991, Achill Field School is the oldest Field School in Ireland. The AFS is a fully accredited field school of the University of Galway, Ireland.

The Field School is now available for sale or lease, owing to the retirement of the owner. The Achill Field School is a training school for undergraduate and graduate students of archaeology and anthropology. Founded in 1991, the Field School offers one and two weeks Introductory courses, a new 6-days Investigating Archaeological Landscapes course, Modular courses of 2, 4 and 6 weeks, and a Tra

inee Supervisor Course of 8 weeks duration. All modular courses qualify for academic credit through the National University of Ireland at Galway.
