Across this 2-week seminar, students discover the rich history & culture of Ireland, travelling from the bustling city of Dublin to the scenic west of Connemara. Students are immersed in learning, embarking on an exploration of Irish culture, history & landscape. This programme teaches “learning through the soles of your feet” offering numerous site visits across the east & west of the country.

Across our 6-week, 6-credit programme, engineering students studied while exploring three separate regions in Ireland, travelling from the castle-like Kylemore Abbey on the west coast, to the bustling city centre of Dublin, finishing off in the historic town of Sligo on Ireland’s northwest coast.

Imagallamh: The Keough-Naughton Summer School in Irish Studies

Notre Dame Dublin and Notre Dame Kylemore joined forces this June to host the 2026 Imagallamh Summer School. Over the course of 2 weeks, participants explored the theme of ‘Urban Ireland’, bringing emerging scholars into conversation with leading voices in Irish studies.
