On February 23rd we will cover all sorts of practical skills from phlebotomy, IV cannulation, urinary catheterisation and an intern on call scenario. Dedicated to final years to help you get a head start for life as a junior doctor 💉🩺

Hey UCD Med Students, we’re so excited to welcome you back to college and invite you to our SimWars info session!

SimWars is an emergency simulation competition where you’ll get to perform and manage an emergency simulation in groups of 6 with the aim of stabilizing the patient 🩺 You’ll be trained by top emergency physicians and get the opportunity to showcase your skills by competing against other teams at our UCD internal competition!

Join us at our info session on Wednesday, September 14th at 8:00 PM over Zoom to learn more 💻 We’ll cover the basic anatomy of a simulation, how the competition works, and answer any questions you may have!

Please note, attendance is compulsory for participation.

…And SimWars 2022 is a wrap!

CONGRATULATIONS to our amazing students for months of training and for the stellar performance during this intervarsity emergency simulation competition! And a brilliant bravo to the Trauma Troopers as well for reaching the semi-finals! We hope you’re all as proud of yourselves as we are of you for how far you’ve come ♥️

Lastly but never the least, to the doctors volunteering their time to train UCD’s teams — you know none of this could’ve happened without you. Thank you, as always.

After rigorous months of training, our teams get to showcase their skills and compete against other teams from across Ireland at the National SimWars competition in Limerick this weekend! 🌟

Best of luck to our teams the Trauma Troopers, Sepsis 6, Tazosims and our substitute team, we know you’ll do us proud! 🙌🏼

You can pick yours up this Thursday from 7:00-8:00 PM in the Health Science Building!

Can’t make it on Thursday? Don’t fret, you’ll be able to collect your jumpers after the midterm break as well!
