UCD Global is hosting a number of events this week for Orientation, January 2022, giving incoming students the opportunity to meet our Global Guides at our ‘Virtual Coffee & Chats’ session, learn about the best places to shop in Dublin as well as discover interesting facts about Ireland.

Hi everyone!

Are you staying in Dublin for Christmas? If so, UCD Global and UCD Chaplaincy invite you to join our Christmas Breakfast & Woodland Walk event on 25th December from 9am-12pm in St. Stephen's Chaplaincy, UCD Belfield Campus (students will be allocated places for a one-hour time-slot in order to safely manage numbers).

There will be food, drinks, music and it will be a great opportunity to meet other students on this festive day.

There are a limited number of tickets available for this event, therefore registration is essential and will be offered on a first-come first-served basis.

**Casual basketball through Irish - no Irish necessary!**
You’re very welcome to 'Comórtas Cispheile, Cómhrá agus Craic' on the 24th of November!

This event takes place on UCD village basketball court. The event consists of friendly, fun, and social basketball matches through the medium of Irish.

Teams are chosen randomly, and prizes will be up for grabs! It’s a great way to improve your Irish, meet other people interested in basketball, get some exercise, and have some fun!

Don’t worry if you aren’t fluent, or have no experience with the Irish language, helpful phrases will be provided on the evening and on Instagram to help you communicate with your team-mates.

Start the Christmas season by joining a free festive Christmas wreath making workshop on 23rd November 16-18:00 with UCD Global & UCD Horticulture Society. Our Global Guide, Rae, will be showing you how to design and decorate your own Christmas wreath. All materials will be provided but please feel free to bring any additional supplies that you may have at home to share with others.

You will finish with a beautiful handmade Christmas Wreath for your own front door.
