Student Services are happy to inform you that the RCSI Association of Graduates are looking for applications from officially recognised RCSI Clubs and Societies in order to award one Club or Society with an additional €1,000 💶 to spend during Semester 2 of this 2022/23 academic year. This is in addition to the budget your Club or Society has been allocated for the year.

We would encourage you to come and speak with Student Services before applying as we can help you to enhance your applications and find great use for the award for your Club/Society.

The RCSI Biological Society hosted an in-person Inaugural Address Awards Ceremony to celebrate the accomplishments of the RCSI student body after the 89th inaugural address was hosted virtually earlier in the semester.

Award recipients were presented with their respective medals/certificates and were recognized for their achievements. The Biological Society is delighted to have been able to acknowledge the hard work and dedication of the many intelligent students at RCSI.

A team of 4 RCSI students competed in the inaugural Sonogames Ireland competition, which consisted of a scanning circuit where the team performed various scans, a case-based relay where the students decided which scan to before based on a clinical vignette and a pathology quiz.

We are very proud of the team for coming in second place!

Well done to RCSI Emergency Medicine Society for organising and hosting training sessions to prepare our teams.

Congratulations to RCSI Paediatric Society on hosting their 8th annual Teddy Bear Hospital for 350 children and their sick bears.

With the support of family, friends and community, they were able to raise an amazing €3097.96 for Barretstown! Thanks to everyone for their contributions and support. 🐻

TGIF from Student Services, RCSI Friends of MSF and RCSI Students' Union! End the day and start the weekend with a good deed.

Join staff, faculty and students for the Ukraine BBQ fundraiser this evening from 5 pm in the Mercer Courtyard (behind Mercer's Medical Centre), generously catered by Kc Catering.

Choose from a combination of gluten-free steakburgers, halal chicken kebabs, sausages/hotdogs or vegetarian/vegan options too. A bottle of water will be supplied, too! A minimum €5 donation is requested for the food and beverage - and all proceeds go directly to the MSF Emergency Fund for Ukraine support.

Student Services in collaboration with the RCSI Undergraduate Students' Union Welfare Officer, RCSI Friends of MSF and Mercer Residents Committee are hosting a fundraiser BBQ to benefit the efforts in 🇺🇦, generously catered by Kc Catering and (their Ukrainian staff) this **Friday, 22 April from 5pm in the Mercer Courtyard** behind the Mercer's Medical Centre.

Please show your support by wearing blue and yellow and popping over for some delectable bites including gluten-free steak burger, halal chicken kebabs, sausages/hotdog combos and there will be some vegetarian/vegan options too. Minimum €5 donation requested. All RCSI staff, faculty and students welcome!

The 2022 Board of Irish College Societies (BICS) National Awards took place last night in Wexford. This annual event recognises all the hard work and accomplishments of Societies in Irish colleges and universities. Attendees included UCC, UCD, UL, Maynooth and many of the Technological Universities.

Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland went head to head to compete for a share of the 21 awards made. We are so proud of our Societies who took home 5 awards on the night. Congratulations to RCSI Emergency Medicine Society, RCSI Cancer Society, RCSI-PIBS, 'Best Fresher' Katelyn Hudak (RCSI Surgical Society) and 'Best Individual' Olivia Jagiella-Lodise (RCSI Orthopaedics Society, Emergency and Surgical Society)!

One week ago, we saw the eagerly awaited return of ‘International Night’ which took place in ‘The Round Room’ at the Mansion House. We were blown away by the amazing talent and professionalism of our students. What a wonderful celebration of our dynamic cultures here at RCSI.

Big Congratulations to PIBS Society who were awarded ‘Best Overall Act’ on the night. Well done to all the societies that took part and to RCSI Dance Team for their finale performance and a big thank you to our judges and MC's on the night.

Congratulations to all the US Match Applicants this cycle! 🎉🇺🇸

The American Medical Student Association AMSA (RCSI) in collaboration with Cimsa, RCSI Student Services, RCSI Alumni, and Careers were so happy to celebrate these students’ accomplishments during Match Week (March 14-18), when SC2 students who have applied to residency in the US learn where they will be continuing their medical training.

These celebrations involved distributing Goodie Bags with the perennial Match Day Tshirts, some tasty treats, and gifts from Student Services as well as hosting their first in-person Match Day celebration in 3 years.

We are excited to see how these students continue to thrive in their future careers!
