Ó Fiaich College

Ó Fiaich College Ó Fiaich College is a modern, co-educational facility catering for the educational needs of Dundalk A large extension to the facility was added in 1990.

Ó Fiaich College began life in Chapel Street in 1906 as Dundalk Municipal Technical School. In 1970 it moved to a new building in the VEC campus on the Dublin Road. Cardinal Tomás O’Fiaich, Archbishop of Armagh and Primate of Ireland, died shortly before he was to officially open the new building. In his honour, the entire facility became known as ‘O’Fiaich College’.

A huge congratulations to all of our 5th Year students who were recognised at last year’s Awards Ceremony. Your hard work, commitment and achievements throughout the year made this a wonderful occasion to celebrate. 👏🏆

The event was hosted by Year Head Mr O’Malley and LCA Coordinator Mr Coyne, with support from Form Tutors who helped present the certificates on the day.

A special thank you to Ms Flood, Deputy Principal, who presented special awards to students in recognition of outstanding achievements.

Well done to all students - we are very proud of you and look forward to seeing all you achieve in the future!

Last week we celebrated our 3rd Year End of Year Awards 🎉 Congratulations to all students on their achievements and hard work throughout the year.

Ms Reilly, Year Head, and Mr Caraher presented students with certificates and trophies recognising their dedication and success.

Special congratulations to Aaron Connolly, winner of the Cuchulainn Award for Endeavour 🏆, Alex Jasinski, recipient of the David Dillon Memorial Award 2026 🏆, and Davide Filipetto, our Student of the Year 👏🌟
