Our weekly meeting will be this Wednesday as usual, tomorrow at 8pm in The Space. We'll be looking at a new theme: What Christianity Has Given the World, which promises to be very interesting. So come prepared for lots of discussion... and bring your Bible along. There'll be a time of singing and free tea/coffee!

Another meeting on the Sermon on the Mount, with a close look at Mt. 5:13-14 on what it means to be a Christian, i.e. salt and light. Tomorrow evening, 8pm, the Space. Free tea/coffee!

"What is a Christian?" is the topic of our meeting tonight. Come along for a cup of tea/coffee and hear the answers to this question that is the difference between life and death. Lots of discussion promised!

Our first weekly meeting, and our Meet 'n' Greet, take place this Wednesday 17th September at 8pm in The Space, Aras na Mac Leinn. There will be a short presentation entitled "What is a Christian" on the night...as well as free pizza!

We are calling on all NUI Galway students to show their support for fairness and inclusiveness by voting YES for a Students' Union neutral on abortion.

Come along to the launch of our Christianity Explored course at 7.30pm this Wednesday, where we'll be showing a short video (20 mins) entitled "One Life: What's It All About?" As usual, all welcome, with free tea/coffee, and discussion after the video.

Atonement. At-One-Ment.

A key Scriptural term, Christians have always used the word "atonement" to describe the reconciliation between God and man, a reconciliation made possible by the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ.

Many down throughout the centuries have argued for different meanings of the term atonement, suggesting that atonement came through Christ's good example, or His satisfaction of God's honour, rather than His substitutionary death on the cross.

This meeting will examine those views, with a particular regard to what the Scripture says on this important topic. All welcome with discussion after the presentation!

"We also joy in God through our Lord Jesus Christ, by whom we have now received the atonement." (Romans 5:11)

Our first public meeting of the semester is on at 8pm next Wednesday 29th January!
Many systems of religion and lifestyle claim to bring a person to God, but they say conflicting things and they point in different directions.Is there really a way which leads absolutely and certainly to God?
We'll be looking at what the Scriptures say by way of answering.

Our second weekly meeting is on at 8pm this Wednesday in The Space, as usual. After some music/singing, we'll be looking at the topic of Salvation. Bring a copy of the Scriptures, if you have one, and a pen, and we'll give you some notes. Be prepared for plenty of discussion!
