NUIG Spanish Soc Welcome to the Spanish Soc! This soc is aimed at all students interested in Spanish culture and interested in improving their level of Spanish.

HOLA A TODOS Y BIENVENIDOS A LOS NUEVOS MIEMBROS !

We're all happy to be back and excited to start another year with the Spanish Soc! Thank you everyone for taking part last year and thanks to all of you who came to our table giving such good feedback and asking when is the next trip 😂We will definitely be doing another trip this year and if you have any suggestions about that send us a message!

💃💃EVENTS:
Next week we will be hosting our EGM on ⭐️Wednesday the 25th⭐️ and having a Tandem night on ⭐️Monday the 23rd⭐️

Come along if you'd like a spot on our committee this year and pop into the Tandem night to practise your Spanish and meet some of our other members!

NEW INSTAGRAM ACCOUNT:
Unfortunately the woman we entrusted with all of the passwords to our social media accounts has graduated.

Hola Fam

We won Best International Society this year at NUIG Societies Awards and couldn't be happier with this achievement!!!

Thanks to all our Spanish loving peeps for coming to our events, eating the pizzas, and having the craic with us

Also, we will be holding our AGM this Thursday at 6pm. All positions up for grabs, and EVERYONE is welcome.

Thank you to everyone who helped us raise much needed funds for the Oncology Ward in UHG.

We presented them with a cheque of €720 last week to Claire, head of the Oncology Ward, the consultants and nurses that work there and do wonderful things. This money will no doubt be very helpful 🌺 ❤️

WE'RE GOING TO VALENCIA!!! 🇪🇸 ✈️ 😍
seeing as our trip to Madrid went so well we decided to include another fun-filled trip this year !

Key Facts:

When:
23rd-26th of May 2019

Tickets On Sale:
This Tuesday the 26th at Socs Box from 12pm.

Requirements:

1) We request a deposit of €150 to secure your place on the trip. The trip won’t cost more than €170 in total!

2) We also need a copy of your passport when you are paying the deposit (in case someone loses their passport 😰 - IT HAPPENS! )

3. Make sure to bring your student ID ! We will also require a contact number so we can keep you updated with details on the trip.

Accommodation:

3 Nights in Valencia’s FINEST HOSTEL (4 days in Valencia)

We have limited space available on the trip, so places will be allocated on a first come first served basis. NUI Galway students only please.

Hola amigos!!

We are holding one of our Tandem nights tomorrow at 7pm (venue tba so stay tuned to our Facebook and emails)! All levels of Spanish welcome! 30 mins of Spanish and 30 mins of English speaking, followed by craic, free pizza and social afterwards in SULT!

Everyone welcome to attend! It is a great way to improve your Spanish, learn something new, and make friends!!

On behalf of everyone from the Spanish Society we would like to give a massive thank you to everyone who came to our Table Quiz event on Thursday, and to everyone who made a donation! It was such a successful night and we are so happy to announce that we have raised €710 from the event and can't wait to award it to the Onocology Ward in UHG.
