Are you a final year undergraduate or postgraduate student? Or you know someone who is?

Registration is now live for the DCU Careers Fair, which gets underway next month.

The DCU Careers Service will host more than 100 companies and organisations in the event which showcases employers interested in hiring DCU graduates.

The Fair is taking place in The Helix on Wednesday, 9 October, and Thursday, 10 October, and gives students the opportunity to meet prospective employers, learn about their companies, their graduate jobs schemes, and explore their further options.

The Fair, sponsored by Deloitte, is divided up into two days:
Wednesday, 9 October: Science, Technology and Engineering
Thursday, 10 October: Business, Accounting, Finance and Law

DCU and Vision Ireland sign Memorandum of Understanding.

DCU's President, Professor Dáire Keogh, and Vision Ireland's CEO, Chris White, have signed a memorandum of understanding this month, building on a number of recent collaborations together, and in particular with The Insight Centre for Data Analytics, and DCU’s Institute of Education.

Speaking at The Wayfinding Centre, a new resource that provides the opportunity for users to acquire public transport skills, DCU President Professor Dáire Keogh said: "This agreement builds on the success of several projects and collaborations we have already delivered with Vision Ireland. Our work together reflects our shared values and our commitment to transformation. I look forward to the next steps in this positive partnership."

《2023回顧》
轉眼間已來到2023年的尾聲，愛爾蘭國際教育中心（IIEC）衷心感謝各位的支持及信任。IIEC在過去一年間舉辦及參與了許多的活動，誠誠懇懇地推廣優質的愛爾蘭教育給各界公眾。對內，IIEC聯同不同的愛爾蘭學院代表舉辦了大大小小的網上講座、參展香港質易發展局教育及職業博覽及香港國際教育及職業展、帶領各愛爾蘭院校代表前往香港各中學及探訪東莞學校交流文化，更是積極為大眾提供更有趣更貼地的YouTube影片。而對外，IIEC不斷向愛爾蘭各界介紹香港教育，為各類學生探尋更多的課程和機會，比如參與愛爾蘭舉辦的MEI Workshop以了解更多愛爾蘭的英語課程及暑期遊學團資訊等等。

IIEC不單止重視學生的教育，我們亦非常重視學生在當地的生活，並積極地探訪了各區的學生，以確保學生遠在他方都能尋求即時協助。為了和公眾分享喜悅和小成就，IIEC亦舉辦了兩次的抽獎活動，希望為大家帶來讀書以外的小確幸。

未來的一年，IIEC會繼續全力以赴，敬業樂業、積極提供優質的愛爾蘭升學服務，協助學生展開求學之旅，實現夢想。IIEC祝願各位身體健康，生活愉快，來年見！

We’re already at the end of 2023! IIEC would like to express our heartfelt gratitude for your support and trust. In 2023, IIEC joined and organized a lot of unforgettable events to promote Irish Education to the public and different societies. Internally, IIEC held plenty of webinars with different Irish education institutes to Asian people, participated in HKTDC Education and Career Expo and Hong Kong International Education Career Expo, brought Irish representatives to visit Hong Kong secondary schools and one of Dongquan’s secondary schools, as well as providing fun and useful YouTube videos to people. Externally, IIEC has been promoting Hong Kong education to Irish parties and seeking opportunities for Hong Kong people through different events, such as the MEI workshop.
Not only do we care about students’ studies, we also care about students’ lives in Ireland. Therefore, we visited students to ensure they were doing well in Ireland. To share our happiness, we held two lucky draws.

In the coming year, IIEC will continue to provide study abroad services in Ireland, assisting students in embarking on their academic journey and making their dreams come true. IIEC wishes everyone good health and happiness. See you next year!

Congratulations to Dr Juliana Adelman, Assistant Professor in History in the DCU Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences, as New Island Books have acquired her riveting debut 19th-century detective novel 'The Grateful Water', which will be published in May 2024.

The novel is set over the scorching summer of 1866 in Dublin’s inner city; an ambitious detective’s search for the truth brings him into contact with an ensemble of characters seeking refuge or forgiveness from the River Liffey on their doorsteps.
