Killorglin Community College is a co-educational and multi belief Secondary School under the governing body of Kerry Education Service. As you will see from our site, Killorglin Community College is a dynamic school, full of life and innovation. Our school values and seeks to promote, at all times, the qualities of courtesy, loyalty, learning and responsibility. We see education not just as imparting knowledge and skills, but also as providing for the holistic development of our students. Our school has excellent facilities to cater for a wide-ranging student population. Ours is a teaching Staff marked with a creative energy, generosity of spirit and dedication to the education of young people. Ours is a student body full of energy and vitality, young people who are open to the possibilities which the school offers them to grow and develop, in order to realise their own unique potential. 🏆🎙️ All-Ireland Gold for Past Pupil Kian O'Gorman! 🥇

A huge congratulations to our past pupil, Kian O'Gorman (Leaving Certificate Class of 2025), who has achieved outstanding national success at the prestigious IMRO Radio Awards 2026! 👏

Kian, who is currently studying Journalism, Podcasting and Radio Broadcasting at Kerry College, was part of a team of students who scooped GOLD in the Short Feature category at the national awards on Friday, 2nd October.

Often described as the "Oscars of Irish Radio", the IMRO Awards recognise excellence in Irish broadcasting. What makes this achievement even more remarkable is that Kian and his fellow students were competing against some of Ireland's biggest broadcasters, including RTÉ Radio 1, Newstalk and Today FM!

🌟 To win gold at this level, while still students, is an incredible accomplishment and a testament to their talent, creativity and hard work.

We are immensely proud to see Kian achieving such success which started here at Killorglin Community College and wish him all the best as he continues his journey in the world of broadcasting.

Unfortunately, due to ongoing industrial action, our 6th Class Experience Day, scheduled for tomorrow, Wednesday 21st October, has been postponed.

We apologise for any disappointment or inconvenience caused and look forward to welcoming 6th Class pupils to Killorglin Community College in the near future.

Important Update: Killorglin Community College Open Night

Due to ongoing industrial action, our planned Open Night for Tuesday, 13th October, will unfortunately not be going ahead.

In the meantime, our application process is now open for prospective students.

Application forms are available online or can be requested by contacting the school office directly.
