Budget 2027 has funded 2,339 additional Special Needs Assistant (SNA) posts. This is the largest increase in six Budgets.

By next year, there will be 28,000 SNAs working in schools across Ireland.

Schools need qualified, skilled SNAs to support students with additional needs. If you’ve been thinking about a career as an SNA, now is a good time to get qualified.

Our QQI Level 5 and Level 6 Special Needs Assisting courses are a recognised route into the role - https://forustraining.ie/sna-course-qqi-level-5-and-6-online/

Seen the headlines about SNAs and industrial action?

You might be wondering if now is the right time to train. The short answer is yes.

SNAs are working to rule over proposed changes to their roles and hours. But the core work in classrooms carries on every day. What's really happening is a profession standing up for fair conditions.

For anyone thinking of qualifying, that's good news. Demand for SNAs is at an all-time high. Schools want qualified, job-ready candidates.

We break down what it all means in our latest blog post. 👇
