Samhain is one of the major festivals in the Celtic calendar. Celebrated traditionally from the evening of October 31st to November 1st, it marks the end of the harvest and the beginning of the darker half of the year. In Irish shamanic and Celtic worldview it is a liminal time, the boundary between this world and the Otherworld becomes thinner.
