Architecture is a rewarding field of work and study that calls for both creative and technical skill in the design of buildings and environments. This course is designed to provide learners with the opportunity to develop skills and to prepare a portfolio in Architecture or Architectural Technology to further their studies at degree level. An Architect’s work primarily focuses on creative, concept

ual and detail design of buildings. An Architectural Technologist works more on the technical design for construction. Learners will gain skills in the areas of building design and sustainability, to prepare them for either Architecture or Architectural Technology. The Architectural pathway emphasises conceptual and spatial design, theory of architecture and model-making. The Architectural Technology pathway develops abilities in building construction and technical design.

A selection of work from this year's HND graduates, exhibited at The Gallery of Photography in Temple Bar, this May. The students' main project this year was the rennovation of the Screen Cinema in Dublin's city centre, this involved all the stages of a major professional design project, from initial analysis, feasibility and spatial planning to technical, structural and sustainability studies.

Hey everybody, just to let you know our graduate end of year exhibition is taking place from Monday 20th - Sunday 26th May in The Gallery of Photography, Meeting House Square in Temple Bar. Work from our Architectural Technology, Graphic Design, Interior Design and Animation course graduates will be on display.
