Westcountry Willows We are full-time basket makers living and weaving in Ireland, doing what we love every day. Westcountry Willows are a husband and wife team based in Co.

From quiet moments in the workshop to lively demos and hands-on workshops, we share our passion for traditional craft with others. Roscommon, surrounded by willows and rushes in the midwest boglands. We create baskets and crafts using the materials that grow around us. You can commission us to weave a basket or other item to suit your requirements or come to us to learn how to weave your own baske

What a fantastic day heritage day ❤️🙏 i didn't manage to get photos of all of my amazing crafty friends and their work as it was such a busy day and went so fast, incredible weather and so many lovely people 😊 already looking forward to next year 🌞🌀💚🌿🙏😊

What a fantastic weekend we just had 🌿🙌🙏✨️ our group made some stunning backpacks that they will treasure for a lifetime, woven by their own hands with my guidance over the course of the weekend, learning all the different skills involved with willow weaving and coming away with such beautiful pieces is so special 🙏❤️ all our courses at Celt are run by highly skilled tutors who have spent years developing their skills and to be able to pass them along across a weekend in a magical location like the is an absolute pleasure for everyone involved, its like stepping into another world away from the hustle and bustle of modernity to a place where natural materials and hand tools are at the heart and soul. Come and join us at the next magical weekend in September to celebrate our 25th anniversary 🙏✨️ Celt.ie 💚

We were working with pocketforests yesterday in Dublin, providing them with the skills and materials to make willow screens to go around some planters in IBC tanks at this center, always a pleasure to work with these guys, a lovely bunch of people doing great things 🌳 🌳 🌿🌿🙌🙏

We always enjoy teaching at Froe.ie in Gormanston woods, Ross runs an amazing forest 🌿 and bushcraft school there, its just the most stunning spot under the parachute amongst the trees, it always attracts some amazing people too 😊 these guys made some amazing aysemetric baskets and are now certified basket cases through and through 😊🧺 i do warn everyone that its addictive 😀 looking forward to teaching at Froe again in September so look out for the booking page. I had a one to one workshop with this lovely woman yesterday, brought as a special gift for her by a family member, we had a beautiful relaxed day in the roundhouse chatting over cups of tea and coffee and sharing everything I know about willow and weaving, a very special day, this woman was so delighted with her gorgeous basket ❤️ I do love my job so much 🧺🧺
