Vocational Training Opportunity Scheme is a full-time, two year general education and work related learning programme for long-term unemployed adults. It offers the chance to go back to education in an environment suited to adults, to use time productively, to make new friends, and to acquire valuable educational qualifications while still retaining your social welfare benefits. Spring has finally come and learning in the great outdoors has begun again. Over the last few weeks our Outdoor Vegetable Production class has been busy cleaning down the tunnel and sowing seeds. This week they learned to test drainage and check soil PH.
