We had yet another amazing day on Saturday with the team from Islamic Relief Ireland Over the last few months they have been rising funds specifically for TOY’S for the children of the CHI wards and new ED at Tallaght

With the help of ward sisters, staff nurses, play room carers and the assistant director nursing we were able to come up with a list of toys for all ages and needs

The team from IR done Spectacularly well with hundreds of individual toys, colouring books, play-dough and tons of other art supplies

This is the 2nd year in a row of IR Toy donations to the children of our community and second year in a row they have helped redefine our personal understanding of Generosity and all I can say is thank you.

You guys are truly amazing,

Thank you

John Kelly, the director of pastoral care at Tallaght University Hospital, was recently interviewed for The Echo Newspaper's 'Local Faces' feature. John talked about the work of the pastoral care team as it attends to the emotional, spiritual and urgent needs of people in hospital.

Tallaght RFC have been a huge support of us all here at TUH with their time and generosity, we will do whatever we can to help find a new home and encourage everyone to help as much as can

Over the last number of months our club has been at the receiving end of several anti social behaviour incidents which has led to our club property and council provided pitches being damaged. Most recently upon welcoming back our Senior teams to training, we discovered our pitch in Tymon Park was callously destroyed by vandals. Our posts were knocked down, a car burned out, the pitch scorched rendering it unusable. We have no idea when we will get to use this pitch again. Having no control over our ground is not feasible long-term.
As a club we have decided that enough is enough. The time has come where we need to find a safe secure space for our rugby family. This is why we are launching the "Tallaght RFC Forever Home Campaign"
We are asking you to kindly support us and help us raise funds so that we are in a better position to look at securing a space to call our own. The funds we raise might get us as far as a deposit for grounds to create a pitch or even (dreaming big here) develop a clubhouse.
No donation is too small as you are helping realise big dreams for our rugby family. Thank you for your continued support and we look forward to when we can welcome you to our new home in the hopefully near future. Link is below for donations 👇👇👇

If you can't donate please share our story with your family and friends. We are also always seeking new players to join our club from ages 5 upwards! No experience necessary. Feel free to contact us on our social media pages for more details.

We’ve said it before and I’m sure we’ll say it again before this pandemic is finally finished, the support we get from our community and local business continues to leave us in awe and quite often shock. To the families, and especially the children of Ashton, Knocklyon Network thank you all so much from all of us here at TUH

Sweet Cicely, Siobhán, as always thank you so much, it was an absolutely pleasure to work with you in organising this treat for our ICU department
