University of Leicester Reenactment Society We are the UoL Reenactment society, portraying the life, crafts, and warfare of the high middle ages.

The UoL Reenactment Society covers: high medieval; Crusade; and Napoleonic, as well as involving itself in Dark Age, late medieval and 20th century events. Our members primarily consist of students from the university, but many members continue to train with us following their graduation, and we encourage this to create a sense of community. We offer many different styles of combat, as well as a wide range of craft activities where we teach you a host of skills from metal working to weaving. Our events are open to all members (and in the start of the first term we allow students to attend events to get a taste of the society). The University of Leicester Reenactment Society is closely affiliated with the Crusade Reenactment Society, a national society, and often has members of this society attend training to aid students in developing their skills. We also maintain good relations with a number of other reenactment groups across the country, and as a result of these relations we are able to attend and take part in regular reenactments around the country, covering a wide range of time periods, and we occasionally take part in international events. We train twice weekly at the University of Leicester and arrange a variety of social events throughout the year. If you are interested in joining our group, or attending a session to see whether or not it takes your fancy, please message us to arrange attending a session and becoming a member.
