Youthreach Youghal Did you leave mainstream education early? Aged between 15-20? Youthreach is a training and work programme for early school leavers aged 15-20 years of age.

Youthreach is a Department of Education and Skills official education, training and work experience programme for early school leavers aged 16 – 20. It offers young people the opportunity to identify options within adult life, and provides them with opportunities to acquire certification. As it operates on a full-time, year-round basis, Youthreach has a continuous intake policy. Youthreach is for

you if:

You are between 15-20
You have left mainstream school early. You want to further your education
You are committed to the programme offered. You are willing to embrace a challenging and exciting opportunity. After Youthreach you can:

Go on to further education – such as a Post-Leaving Cert course (PLC)
Apply for apprenticeships
Confidently enter the world of work

After 31 very happy years the time has come for me to say goodbye to Youghal Youthreach. I have loved my time here and will miss everybody so much.
Youghal has been a huge part of my life for so long & being a teacher & mentor to such a large number of students over such a long period of time has been a privilege for me.
We have had lots of fun and adventures along the way and we even managed to cook a few dinners too !
I will be staying within the Youthreach system so I wont be too far away !
I’d like to wish each & every one of you the very best for the future.

Huge congratulations to Jessica Coleman representing Youghal, who won the Youthreach Bake Off competition in the Westside Hospitality Centre in Cork yesterday. The task this year was to bake a Victoria Sandwich. All the hard work & many hours of practising paid off. Congratulations also to Sharon Poleon who guided and mentored Jessica to yet another Bake Off Victory for Youghal Youthreach !
