Palestinian association of dental students -PADS- was founded in 2013, as a full country member in the International Association of Dental Students - IADS, to fulfill the educational and practical needs of dental students in Palestine in the t
hree national universities and to build a bridge between Palestinian students and other students worldwide. As much as the dental curriculum and the clinical practice are important, they're not enough to create a well prepared dentist who's ready to face the world. So PADS and its foundations are making great efforts to engage students in more extracurricular activities and community work. Raising awareness among the Palestinian society, offering dental students the opportunity to work in dental research , carrying on exchange programs and enhancing the communication with other universities abroad are all part of the association aims . The Palestinian Association of Dental Students has constructed it's foundations and goals in order to serve and fulfil educational development necessities, and throughout the past decades it has successfully managed that. The dental students' educational needs sometimes go beyond the dental curriculum and clinical practice within the Faculty, the students feeling the necessity to taste extracurricular activities such as being engaged into abroad internships, prophylaxis/ voluntary activities, media or other ones, this way becoming leaders of their dental student community.
