ΤΗΛΕΔΙΑΣΚΕΨΗ ΤΟΥ ΔΗΜΑΡΧΟΥ ΠΑΦΟΥ ΜΕ ΤΟΝ ΔΗΜΑΡΧΟ ΤΗΣ HERZLIYA ΤΟΥ ΙΣΡΑΗΛ
ΚΟΙΝΕΣ ΕΝΕΡΓΕΙΕΣ ΤΩΝ ΔΥΟ ΑΔΕΛΦΟΠΟΙΗΜΕΝΩΝ ΠΟΛΕΩΝ ΓΙΑ ΑΜΟΙΒΑΙΑ ΠΡΟΩΘΗΣΗ ΤΟΥ ΤΟΥΡΙΣΜΟΥ

Την ανάληψη συγκεκριμένων πρωτοβουλιών για την προώθηση της Πάφου και της Herzliya αντίστοιχα, αλλά και της Κύπρου και του Ισραήλ ευρύτερα ως ασφαλείς και ποιοτικοί τουριστικοί προορισμοί κατά τη δύσκολη περίοδο που ακολουθεί την πανδημία του κορωνοϊού, αποφάσισαν σήμερα οι Δήμαρχοι των δύο αδελφοποιημένων πόλεων.

Στο πλαίσιο τηλεδιάσκεψης που είχαν το πρωί, οι Δήμαρχοι Φαίδωνας Φαίδωνος και Moshe Fadlon αποφάσισαν όπως αξιοποιήσουν το διάστημα μέχρι την επανέναρξη των πτήσεων μεταξύ των δύο χωρών, προκειμένου να δημιουργήσουν από κοινού μικρής διάρκειας ταινία στην ελληνική και εβραϊκή γλώσσα, μέσω της οποίας θα προβάλλονται και θα αναδεικνύονται τουριστικά οι δύο περιοχές. Η ταινία αναμένεται να ετοιμαστεί εντός των προσεχών ημερών και να αρχίσει η προβολή της τόσο από τα μέσα κοινωνικής δικτύωσης των δύο Δήμων όσο και από κάθε άλλο διαθέσιμο ΜΜΕ των αντίστοιχων περιοχών.

Στην τηλεδιάσκεψη αποφασίστηκε ακόμη όπως καταβληθούν προσπάθειες για την εξασφάλιση ειδικών τιμών διαμονής για τους κατοίκους των δύο αδελφοποιημένων πόλεων που θα επιλέξουν να κάνουν διακοπές σε Πάφο και Herzliya αντίστοιχα.

Dear partners and exchange students,

We at IDC Herzliya had hoped not to take this action. Your safety and wellbeing, as ours, is our highest priority. National guidelines, indeed global best practices, are evolving rapidly.

The Government of Israel has just announced last night that effective immediately all schools will close, at least through mid-April. This includes higher education institutions.

If your students have yet to travel to Israel, they should not come!! Indeed, they most probably will be denied entry. Students attempting to arrive yesterday evening were returned home from the Tel Aviv airport.

We do still hope and expect that we will be able to offer an online semester. An announcement will be made as soon as possible.
