There’s no better way to learn journalism than to see it in action.
Third-year students majoring in Digital Influence and Perception in a visual content and camera skills workshop led by lecturer Natasha Kirchuk got a behind-the-scenes look at the i24NEWS studios, where they met producers, sat in on a live broadcast from the control room, and learned what it takes to produce a news program.
To conclude the visit, they put their interviewing skills to the test in one-on-one interviews outside the studio.
A fun, eye-opening day and a great reminder that the best learning often happens outside the classroom. The future looks bright for this talented group of students!
